After a bad result in 1957 and their withdrawal one year later, the United Kingdom would return to the Eurovision Song Contest. Before the final, there were two semi finals with six songs competing in each, the Top3 should make it to the final. All singers are still known but only few of the song titles. In the first semi final, the song titles of the three qualifiers are still available.

The second semi final was held only three days after. Pearl Carr & Teddy Johnson were the only singers to return to the stage to present a second entry but failed to qualify with If only I could live my life again. Lita Roza is the singer, who definitely made it to the final, the other two names got lost over the years.
