Biography
Emilio Pericoli was a well known artist in Italy at the time of this year's Eurovision Song Contest. Despite a high placing he didn't chart with his Eurovision entry in other European countries. A feat he achieved a year earlier, when he not only charted in several European countries with his version of Betty Curtis' 1961 entry Al Di Là. His single even cracked the top 10 in the USA. His version of Al Di Là incidentally was the theme song of the movie Rome Adventure.
Lyricist Giulio Rapetti participated in 1961 as Giulio Restetti (Mogol) and in 1965 as Mogol.
