Biography
Never change a winning team, they say. No, even make the team stronger than it already was. And so Björn was reunited in this year's Eurovision Song Contest with one more person from his past with the US chart topping group Blue Swede. The 1978 contest saw him already reunited with the head of A & R for EMI Records in Sweden at the time of their US no. 1, Bengt Palmers. Now Anders Berglund, also an ex-member of Blue Swede, joined the two, taking over the baton from Bengt Palmers. Bengt Palmers this year was the composer of the song together with Björn Skifs. In 1984 Björn joined the cast of the Björn Ulvæus/Benny Andersson/Tim Rice musical Chess in the role of the arbiter. Like said at the beginning: never change a winning team. And so Blue Swede reunited for a tour of Sweden in the mid-90s.
