Biography
Daniela Simons originally came from Rome. As far as music is concerned this is an inclination that runs in the family: her father is a well-known musician for light entertainment. Ever since her childhood, Daniela Simons has been a resident of Lausanne (Switzerland). She grew up bilingually - Italian and French. In addition to that she has a very good knowledge of English and German. After leaving school, Daniela Simons was accepted by the Lausanne conservatory. She studied classical piano. In autumn 1986 she will complete her studies with the "music professor" examination.
Daniela Simons' professional goal is a showbusiness career. This young talent has earned a number of honours already in this field: Already as a child she appeared on stage as a singer in her dad's orchestra. She learnt to play piano and wrote her first composition as a little girl. She also entered various singing contests. In 1984 she won "La Grande Chance" - a contest held by the French Swiss TV designed to promote young talents. In the Swiss final of the "Eurovision Song Contest 1985" she reached 2nd place with the song "Repars à zéro". Various appearances on French and German Swiss TV helped her become quite popular with TV audiences. Daniela Simons has a great future ahead of her, for she brings along the qualifications for a professional career: talent, musical training, creativity and last but not least: her very pretty appearance. On January 25, 1986, Daniela Simons won the Swiss final with the song "Pas pour moi". Another important milestone in her career!
Nella Martinetti is a very popular artist on Switzerland's music scene. She is a composer, lyrics writer and also a singer. Her road to music was traced out. She was a kindergarten teacher, composed children's songs and wrote as well the lyrics and then sang the songs with 'her' children. She was discovered by the well-known producer Lothar Olias during a TV program in Ticino. He produced a number of hit tunes with Nella and brought her into the hitparades.
In the course of time, Nella Martinetti changed from hit tunes to interpreting songs of her southern Swiss homeland. She also started to write her own songs in the "Ticino style". She created a very large group of fans with her six albums up to now ("Ciao Ticino", "Ticino mio", "Canto Ticino", "Stargala", "Lieder für Kinder" and "Bella Ciao").
She appeared in countless TV shows at home and abroad. In 1985, NelIa Martinetti presented herself to the Swiss TV audience with a very successful "Nella Martinetti Show". A new TV show is already in preparation. Nella Martinetti, however, not only writes music and lyrics for herself. She has written successful songs and lyrics for many artists from the Swiss music scene. She particularly has the "Eurovision Song Contest" at heart. Repeatedly, Swiss artists were represented with songs or lyrics by Nella Martinetti at the "Eurovision Song Contest": In 1981 - Peter, Sue & Marc with "Io senza te"; in 1983 - Mariella Farré with "Io così non ci sto".
Atilla Sereftug is a professional musician. After completing his training as a pianist he played with Roland Baker's orchestra in Germany for a number of years. In 1982 Atilla Sereftug changed to the well-known Swiss show orchestra "Dorados". Atilla Sereftug was the musical head of the "Dorados" orchestra. For this group the young artist composed hit songs such as "Sunset Romance", "Amore mia", "See you tomorrow" and "History". After the dissolution of the "Dorados" group in 1984, Atilla Sereftug works as composer and arranger for various artists at home and abroad. [Notes from the official 86 programme by NRK]
