The winner of the Danish Song Contest and thus the Danish entry to Eurovision Song Contest 1986 is a Norwegian girl, the 24-year old Lise Haavik from Narvik in the northern most part of Norway. On February 22nd she sang Danish John Hatting's text and music to "Du er fuld of løgn" to a supreme first place. Lise Haavik and John Hatting are married and have earlier participated in the Danish Song Contest as a duo called "Trax". John Hatting won the Danish Song Contest as a member of the group "Brixx", in 1982 when they introduced "Video-video" at the Eurovision Song Contest in England.
Norwegian Lise Haavik came to Denmark in 1982 to study economics. She studied for a year at the University of Odense and for a period at the Copenhagen School of Economics and Business Administration. Already 1 year after her arrival in Denmark she entered the weekly magazine "Se & Hør's" amateur song contest, where she was 2nd. She met John Hatting late in 1983 when he advertised through a record company for a female singer with whom he could start a duo. The compay sent Lise, and they formed the duo "Trax" - and married. Since then music became the profession of both and Lise gave up her studies.
John Hatting was a car salesman for 10 years before becoming a professional song writer and musician. He is 37 years old and Lise celebrated her 24th birthday on February 23rd, the day after her victory in the Danish Song Contest. [Notes from the official 86 programme by NRK]
