Biography
Tommy Körberg is acclaimed as one of the best voices in Scandinavia. He is one of the most renowned performers in Sweden but is also internationally known for his recent portrayal of The Russian in the West End musical "Chess", a role for which he was specially chosen by the composers. This is his second Eurovision Song Contest, having already represented his country in 1969.
Py Bäckman is one of Sweden's leading rock artists. Py has had a number of successful albums and has a "cult following" in Sweden, where she was recently described by a leading Stockholm journalist as Sweden's own Tina Turner.
Anders Berglund has played the piano since the age of seven. After leaving school he started working as a touring musician in Sweden and he has been working as a freelance since 1975 - gramophone producer, arranger, orchestra conductor, composer and pianist. Anders Berglund is one of Sweden's most sought after arrangers and orchestra conductors. This is the sixth year that he conducts the Swedish contribution to the Eurovision Song Contest.
Urban Agnas is considered one of Sweden's leading trumpet players. He is a member of the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra. He has been the recipient of a number of awards for trumpet playing all over Europe. [Notes from the Official 1988 Programme by RTÉ]
