Biography
The six-man group of Boulevard is made up of Jari Nieminen, Kyosti Laihi, Jan Puhakka, Tuomo Tepsa, Juha Lanu, and Erkki Korhonen, who each performed solo before forming the group. Boulevard is described as an easy-going, youthful band with a taste for good tunes and middle-of-the-road music.
The husband and wife team of Pepe and Kirsti Willberg have written numerous songs together. Pepe is one of the most versatile artists on the Finnish light music scene with several LPs to his credit. Kirsti is a singer in her own right and has written lyrics for some of her husband's songs. As performers and composers they have one joint LP.
Ossi Runne is a conductor and trumpet soloist of great renown in Finland. Since 1965 he has been a staff conductor with YLE TV1. This is his 22nd year conducting Finland's Eurovision entry. [Notes from the Official 1988 Programme by RTÉ]
