Biography
Sergio Dalma's real name is José Capdevila. He was born in Sabadell, near Barcelona, on September 28th in 1965. At 6 he began to play the guitar and more or less 10 years later he formed his first group. In 1984 music became his primary activity, with particular emphasis on classical music. Thereafter, his passion developed towards music with deep roots. He is a "white singer with a black soul". He has been singing for a long time with dancing orchestras and in 1989 his last LP was awarded a golden disc. During the period in which this year's Eurovision Song Contest was held Sergio had his only European hit, Esa Chica Es Mia.
Luis Gomez Escolar and Julio Seijas have been working together for 20 years as musicians and authors for several international and Spanish artists. Their last production won 4 golden and platinum discs. [Notes from the Official 1991 Programme by RAI]
