The singer's full name is Pave Maijanen.

Originally the song that would represent Switzerland this year was Soleil, Soleil by Géraldine Olivier. Practice this year was that the three parts of Switzerland had their own pre-selection heats. The song was entered for the French pre-selection heats, but didn't get through. The song was then translated into German. This time it got through and won the German pre-selection heats and also the Swiss final. When the French complained the song was disqualified. Next on the list was Mister Music Man by Daisy Auvray.
