Biography
Silje Vige is 16 and the 1993 Eurovision Song Contest in Millstreet will be her first international appearance. Silje is a choir member and plays the piano and the guitar. Her father is Björn-Erik Vige, the composer of the Norwegian entry, and Silje recently appeared with him on NRK 'Breakfast TV'. Helping Silje on stage will be Pantelis (Lakis) Karnezis, bouzouki, and Hilde Kjeldsen, backing vocalist.
Björn-Erik Vige is a teacher in a comprehensive school and is also a noted choir conductor. He lives at Jörpeland near Stavanger and has arranged the music for a number of very successful Norwegian records. Björn-Erik has written the music and the lyrics of 'Alle Mine Tankar'.
Rolf Løvland is a much appreciated conductor and is well known for his work with NRK. He composed 'La Det Swinge' which won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1985. [From the 1993 Programme by RTÉ]
