Biography
Muhamed Fazlagic is lead singer of the band 'Fazla' which is a group drawn from the most talented younger generation of Bosnian pop and rock musicians. They have all been members of successful bands which are now defunct because of the war. The 'Fazla' band is currently working on a debut album and Millstreet provides them with their first major international appearance.
Dino Dervishalidovic, better known as Dino Merlin, composes film scores and has written 80 song hits during the past 10 years. His record sales total some 3.5 million copies.
The lyrics of Fahrudin Pecikoza (Peca) have attracted a wide audience and are in great demand in his native Sarajevo.
Sinan Alimanovic and Dino Dervishalidovic have arranged the music and Sinan Alimanovic who is musical director of TV Sarajevo's Big Band was to conduct in Millstreet, but could not get out of Bosnia. RTÉ's Noel Kelehan will conduct instead. [From the 1993 Programme by RTÉ]
