Biography
CatCat consists of two sisters, Virpi and Katja Kätkä from Ylitornio in northern Finland, who are now both music students in Jyväskylä, in central Finland. Virpi (the blonde one) intends to establish her own music school, while Katja hopes to enter the world of opera. They both enjoy Bach and Mozart as well as The Beatles and ABBA, and recorded their first LP in 1992.
Kari Salli and Make Lentonen are currently working on their first joint album in the western city of Turku, where Make works as a graphic designer specialising in record sleeves while Karl runs his own recording studio. They both have a considerable input into the arranging and production of a great many contemporary Finnish music items. [Notes from the Official 1994 Programme by RTÉ]
