Biography
Eddie Friel, born in Belfast, is a B. Mus. Honours graduate who in 1986 started his professional career as a music teacher. After two years he decided to pursue his talents as a musician and composer. He has gained great admiration throughout local piano bars at home as well as in Canada and Europe, where he travelled for a year. He has toured with Van Morrison as a piano player.
Richard Abbott is a Fine Arts graduate from Belfast who began his career with a Dublin advertising agency. While living in Dublin he played in the Rob Strong Band and in 1984 had two songs in the Irish National Song Contest. Since 1990 Richard has pursued his career as an independent producer/director.
Barry Woods is an experienced composer and arranger from Bangor, Co. Down. He qualified as a sound engineer, worked with local groups as a multi-instrumentalist, and graduated to the Irish show-band circuit. He has written many songs and comedy routines for Clubsound with whom he has played for 25 years. [Notes from the Official 1995 programme by RTÉ]
