Biography
Eimear Quinn is 23 years old and comes from Dublin. She is a graduate in Environmental Resource Management but is now completing the second of a three-year degree in music at Maynooth University. She is a classically trained singer, and is continuing her voice studies at The College of Music in Dublin. In 1995 Eimear joined the band Anúna and has since sung solo in some of the Riverdance London shows, the show that evolved from the 1994 interval act. She has two sisters and a brother.
Brendan Graham has created three songs for the ESC previously: in 1976, 1985 - and in 1994, the winning song Rock 'n' Roll Kids. In total, Brendan Graham's songs are recorded on about 70 albums around the world. He has worked actively for many years towards improving the position of songwriters and composers in Ireland.
As a young man Brendan won an award for his studies in business in Australia. He also distinguished himself as a basket-ball player. Today he lives in Dublin with his wife and five daughters. [Notes from the Official 1996 Programme by NRK]
