Biography
Jill Johnson started singing in a girls’ choir at the age of four. She was later discovered at a talent show and toured Denmark and Norway with a country band. In 1996 she toured with Jan Johansen, the artist who represented Sweden at the 1995 Song Contest. They had a hit record together, Kommer Tid, Kommer Vår, and last year Jill achieved success as a solo artist with her single Jag Har Havet Ett Stenkast Från Mig.
Bobby Ljunggren and Håkan Almqvist were both musicians in pop bands before starting a partnership creating music 13 years ago. Today they have a record and music publishing firm, working for some of Sweden’s top musicians. In collaboration with lyricist Ingela "Pling" Forsman, they have been writing songs for the Swedish Melody Festival for the last 11 years - five times finalists.
Ingela "Pling" Forsman is a lyricist, writer, translator and record producer. As well as writing the lyrics for the 1995 Song Contest, she also translated lyrics from a Disney film musical into Swedish. She wrote the lyrics for this year’s entry, Kärleken Är, following the death of Diana, Princess of Wales.
Anders Berglund was the host conductor for the Eurovision Song Contest event in Malmö in 1992. A pianist, conductor and arranger, he has written music for feature films, radio plays and for Lennart Nilsson’s famous film The Saga of Life.
