Biography
Dionyssia Karoki (singer, group Thalassa) was born in Patras. She studied accounting and computer programming before starting on a musical career. She studied music at the National Conservatory in Athens. She loves singing, dancing and exercising and currently works as a singer.
Yiannis Valvis (composer) studied mathematics and electronics at the University of Patras and has been granted patents in the field of electronics and music. He has written books on the study of the guitar and the bouzouki. Today he composes popular and contemporary Greek songs.
Yiannis Malachias (lyrics) was born in Piraeus. He is a graduate of the geology department at Athens University and he is now working as a geologist. He has written lyrics for many songs and two poetry collections. His poetry is inspired by Odysseus Elytis, Giorgos Seferis and Nikos Gatsos. [Notes from the Official 1998 Programme by the BBC]
