Vili Resnik was born in Ljubljana in 1963. The guitar became his best friend as a child. As he grew up, he played and sang in rock bands. In 1990, the leader of Pop Design, Slovenia’s most successful pop band, invited Vili to perform with the group at the Eurovision Song Contest pre-selection event. Vili’s co-operation with Pop Design brought the group five gold records, two silver CDs, two bronze CDs and three silver cassettes.
Matjaz Vlašic played violin as a five year-old. He studied violin at the Secondary Music School in Ljubljana. It was then that he started writing songs for various Slovene pop musicians. He later joined the group Pop Design. Many of the songs he wrote for the band became big hits. He now concentrates on writing songs for various musicians.
Urša Vlašic studied piano at Ljubljana Secondary Music School and the Academy of Music. She first appeared in the Yugoslav national pre-selection event for the Eurovision Song Contest in 1988. At her second appearance she met her future husband, Matjaz Vlašic. Now, after her third attempt, she appears in Birmingham as lyricist and co-performer. Urša also teaches piano at a music school and writes songs for Slovene singers.
