Biography
Representing the Former Yugoslav Republic Of Macedonia is Ne Zori, Zoro, which can be translated as Somebody Stop The Dawn.
Vlado Janevski is the most successful pop artist in his country with two best-selling albums. Regarded as the best lyricist and a very popular composer, his songs have been topping the charts in the last few years. He has won many pop musical festivals and has represented his country at festivals all over Europe, including MIDEM (France) Slavyanski Bazaar (Russia) and the Cavan Festival (Ireland).
Grigor Koprov is one of his country’s outstanding composers of pop and folk music. He has received more than 50 awards for his songs at festivals at home and abroad. He has participated at the national festivals for selecting the Eurovision Song Contest song. Many of his songs have become very popular hits.
Alexandar Dzambazov is an outstanding Macedonian composer and conductor. He graduated from the Belgrade Music Academy and became a music editor and producer on Radio Skopje (now Macedonian Radio and Television). Since 1964 he has conducted the MKRTV Big Band and Dance Orchestra. He was one of its founders. He also composes music for radio plays, TV serials and films.
