Biography
Arnis Mednis was born on October 18, 1961.He received the Grand Prix at the Liepajas Dzintars '89 festival, as well as prizes at the Jurmala '93 and Sopota '93 festivals. Between 1984 and 1995 Arnis Mednis was the leader of the group ODIS. He is also the director of the joint project for Baltic musicians called "Amber blues" and "Amber voice". Major albums: "Shadows and rain" (with ODIS, 1994), "Shake before use (1996), "Cooler" (1999). Arnis enjoys the support of a wide variety of audiences, because he is a performer with extensive experience not only in Latvia, but also in Russia, Denmark, Poland, Germany, Austria and the United States, he is a songwriter, and he produces music for television shows and serials. Arnis' music and his image are always in style, always different, original but recognized. Working on various musical projects each day, Arnis has become a musical gourmand, and he likes to bring together various musical styles - funk, soul, blues, rhythm & blues, house, ethno and world music.
Arnis is preparing to launch a new solo album in May, and it will include the song "Too much". Arnis submitted the song to the Eurovision Song Competition as a joke, saying that he wanted to try his hand at a competition like this. He was surprised to win, and he does not want to disappoint his audience and his fans.
The lyrics for the song were written by Gustavs Terzens, who is a graduate of the Riga Nordic Gymnasium and speaks some Danish. He's glad that the Eurovision Song Competition is being held in Denmark this year. Background vocals will be provided by the young, talented and promising singers Ance Krauze and Marina Voitjuka. Guitar will be played by Ivars Jercums. On stage will be a very colorful and unique team.
