Sold Out!
UK: Manchester Host's Eurovision Boom Bang A Bang Party
The event, organised by Eurovision fan Paul Marks-Jones who said this year's response had been overwhelming and follows the "mega-success" of last year's first pre-Eurovision party held in the city.
Paul who runs events organising company Eventuality said: " I have been inundated with people wanting tickets for this year's event, so much so that I had sold out after just three weeks. In many respects it underlines just how many Eurovision fans there are out there who have been crying out for years to have a mainstay event around the contest in their city. On the night we are just going to have lots of fun and wave lots of flags, drink a few cocktails, and decide on our favourites at this year's Eurovision in Belgrade. Everything will be topped off by the ever popular Eurovision disco" .
The Manchester event takes place at Bacchanalia, Chapel Walks (off Cross Street). Attendees can enjoy special offers on food and 2 for 1 cocktails all night. More information is available from eurovision@e-ventuality.com or by telephoning Eventuality on 0870 300 9510.

Great night out, and it could be sooo much better next year.
It was nice meeting fellow Eurovision sardines but the venue wasn't big enough even for the lucky few who managed to get tickets. And 'no stamping - you'll upset the diners downstairs' - where's the fun in that? I love stamping :-)
Paul - Bigger and Bolder next year. We're out there and we'll go the extra mile for that eurovision vibe.
As for me, Eurobeat on the 10th then off to Belgrade. I'm not going to stop dancing for weeks.
@ mark wood
not at all . ur comments struck me as dismissive of the event in my opinion. last years event was great fun.
come to west end eurovision instead and hear fantastic singers performing some favourite eurovision songs x
@michealuk its relevent micheal because like it or not there are alot of gay people who like eurovision . so of course if you were selling a product that was of interest to gay men and women then the obvious thing would be to advertise it in the gay village . or is there something else you want to disscuss?????
if this one is sold out, sounds like there's room in Manchester for 2 such parties.
Following the last Boom Bang a Bang in January the event was extensively advertised throughout Manchester and on Eurovision notice boards everywhere from February and sold out very quickly - that is why no further advertising needed to be done.
Indeed last year it took place in th village, but the venue was not deemed suitable on the last couple of occasions. There are true fans coming from all over the country, all to enjoy Eurovision.
Sorry to all those who missed out, but look out for more of these events throughout the year and of course the preview event next year!
@ mark wood
the event is not in the gay village so how is that relevent
hogwash i am a massive eurovision fan and im gay ,so in the village all the time and also sing there but i never heard a thing about it . hmmmmfffffff what is it an in crowd thing methinks. plastic eurovision
Sounds great, good luck to anybody who's going!

What a shame I'm only just hearing about this party now that it's sold out...meh...

LOL - now THAT's PR for you! If he'd said three days it would've sound believable, but three weeks sounds like he struggled to sell the tickets.
Anyway, sounds like it's going to be fun (for those lucky enough to get tickets to watch promo videos for Estonia, Ireland, Spain, Lithuania & Russia).
