Rehearsals start in 30 minutes
Eurovision 2008: Good morning Europe - Belgrade calling!
In total, 43 countries will rehearse twice for technical rehearsals over the coming days, before nine dress rehearsals and for the first time ever, three live Eurovision Song Contest shows.
The road to Belgrade has been long with plenty of changes and topics for fans to discuss. The time for all that is now over, and from today, rehearsals for the largest ever edition of the largest music competition in the world begins.
esctoday.com is already installed in the Sava Centre and will be covering all the rehearsals, press conferences and all the fringe events for this, the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest.
Let the good times begin!

Hero.
The polls do not show 'what Europe is likely to vote for'. Take a cold shower and wake up, for God's sake!!! I am sure that if Sweden was doing bad in the polls, you'd say the polls don't count at all! LOL

I'm looking forward towards the rehearsal of the seond semi more, it has a much better quality of songs!
I dont want to seem too arrogant towards the Slovenian entry,
but when Rebeka performed the song in EMA, it sounded like to should've been played in a nursery.
I'm so excited! Go Armenia, Go Slovenia.
And there was yet another biased, ignorant comment from our friend "hero"
Nice sunny Sunday here in Belgrade. I expect lot of crowd tonight throughout city after they announce preliminary election results. I think we could start three day civil war after that, celebrate ESC, and continue afterwards, lol. Just kidding!!!
People I met this morning are somehow unusually positive, and I still can't believe ESC is here in my hometown. I think I'll get heart attack out of happiness!!!
Some pics from the rehearsal I found (it seems that they are updating them regularly): http://picasaweb.google.com/esckaz.com Enjoy!
this is gonna be very big BOOOOOOO for Spain...
I really want to hear the Irish press conferences!!! should be hilarious!

Exactly!!! I mean, I remember on the night of Helsinki, enjoying the Romanian performance, but now I never listen to the song!! When you're excited you don't really care whether a song is good or bad, its like being drunk!!!!!
Oh sorry, of course I meant in Helsinki! I wish I could be in Belgrade now!
@ Jonny K You're right! In Belgrade I found myself dancing and singing along to each and every song, regardless of them being my favourites or even the ones I used to say I couldn't stand! When you're there, you're just too excited to boo anyone!
- Glen Bartlett
Thanks!! It seems like the BBC is actually making an effort this year with their website!!!!

I agree, I think Belgium is a bit of a dark horse!!!!
And a few people might find this funny -
http://www.telegraph(...)-Bjorn-Erichsen.html
Its the eurovision director saying how much he dislikes Terry Wogan! It made me laugh!!
One piece of advise, if you have some money left, put in towards Belgium. This is around 80/1, nobody seems to pick that one up. I have a feeling Belgium will win the first semi and will be top 3 in the final. Watch my words. I absolutely adore that song, the singer, the outfit, it all looks like being run away out of a film set. Le fabuleux destin.... I tell you, I feel very strong about this. But good luck to evryone from London

Plus an interview with Terry Wogan

Sweden, Georgia, Greece, Serbia, Slovenia and so many more.
Songs I do not like:
Montenegro, FYR Macedonia, Moldova, Spain, Estonia, Croatia and Albania
