Day 6: Romania, Russia and Greece
Song 17: Romania - Nico & Vlad - Pe o margine de lume
The Romanian couple Nico & Vlad return to the stage for another romantic rendition of their entry Pe o margine de lume. The duo performs with vocals of the highest quality and they match each other perfectly. This is certainly one of the most romantic songs in the contest. Vlad start sthe song alone on the stage, throughout his performance he gives smouldering looks into the camera. He is complemented perfectly with emotive singing by his companion Nico when she joins him on the stage for the second verse. The natural chemistry between the two is undoubtedly, especially when the embrace for the final few notes of the song. They are joined on stage by a pianist and three female backing singers. This is a magical performance from the Romanians.
Song 18: Russia - Dima Bilan - Believe
Dima has lost the battle of the ladder. It will no longer feature on stage. The ice platform remains, and the restructured performance features a bare foot and open shirted Bilan sitting and writhing on the floor. The attention moves to his synchronisation with the ice skater and violinist for a powerful end of the song.
Song 19: Greece - Kalomira - Secret Combination
The first proper costume change of the Eurovision Song Contest takes place in what has to be one of the most commercially modern songs of the year. Kalomira begins in a pink dress, shedding the top layer to reveal a silver shimmering bodyhugging outfit. The wheels have been added to the book, making it easier to move on stage after the Russian entry. The routine features the greek stunner sitting on a bar resting on the shoulders of the backing singers. Some classic moves follow in the sytle of Beyonce with the backing dancers performing some big moves and flips. The book opening looks fantastic with improved camera work and the Greek entry is looking increasingly strong.

Is the skater Evgeni Plushenko??!!?? Oh shit, he's like my favourite ice skater EVER, how come I haven't found out that it's him?
And the violinist is the guy who has performed with Plushenko earlier, too? Edvin Martin? Damn, I really don't like Dima Bilan, but I might have to route for him too, because of Plushenko and Martin!
Wow! Nico and Vlad look and sound great together. This is definitely one to look out for.
Kalomira also looks great. A very strong performance but I eventually tire of the song - it seems to go on and on and on!
Dima looks as though he's trying too hard. The choreography is way over the top in places, which spoils an otherwise pleasant song.
OMG ROMANIAN SONG IS WONDERFULL, and thank god Bilan got rid of that ladder, still wont help though.
I hope ANI LORAK or PORTUGAL win, because both singers have great voices and very catchy songs. As for countries voting for the neighbours, i don't see whats the fuss about it. For example in Russia we have lots of Ukranian singers, and vise versa. MAny eastern block countries have performers that are popular across borders. Same with Greece and Cypris, or France and Monaco, they have same singers etc. And also, just talking about Russia, they get so many votes because the russian population in ex soviet countries is HUGE! I still don't want BILAN to win... he is just not that good, and it is stupid to go again. ANI LORAK or PORTUGAL!!!
YAY kalomoira just gets better in my eyes!
romania- yeh still does nothing for me
damn good vocals but i dunno a tad boring...
russia- bah it just gets worse
hmm where do i start?? shitty vocals ( yes sorry dima fans, he sounds like a drowing cat), he looks like he has just relieved himself from a large period of constipation everytime he hits those uber notes, the ice skater looks absolutley retarded and the concept is sooooo freakin superfluous as to only look arrogant and dima looks more like a drag queen in his performance than a real singer... bleaq 0 points

My God Russia!!!!!!!! :-(((((((((((((((((((
Kalomoira is soooo sweet, shes great! I hope that she ll win ! Lets vote Greece! Gd luck to everyone
specially Armenia, Poland and Serbia
Till today the most impressive choreography and props were from Ukraine! Ani Lorak rocked. Excellent dancing and props!
Kalomira's song is cool! I like it very much. I'm little bit disappointed with her choregraphy. She had better one on Greek National final. The thing with 4 letters 'LOVE' was brilliant. This time her choregraphy is nothing special but the book effect rescues her show.
Finally, Sirusho comes with her russian street dancers. I still think that her song is the most original among three divas and after the second rehearsal, I see clearly that she is going to do a wonderful performance as well
Good luck to Armenia, Greece and Ukraine! Three most hard-working divas of this year
In my BOOK, I firmly "Believe" that ... KALOMIRA'S
"Secret Combination" ...
will be THE performance of ESC 2008 BELGRADE!
Positive thinking goes a long way ...
Stay tuned ...
@ Siou X
Thanks for your comment. It gives me a reason to write
something I've been wanting to for a while.
Jealous? Who's jealous? I'll tell you ...
Russia's Dima has KNEELED (in both of his ESC performances!!)
During the first time, KNEELING was included in his choreography (!??) AFTER having seen Greece's fabulous Anna Vissi at the ESC 2006 ATHENS do HER ... KNEELING WHILE PERFORMING routine, which --until then-- was HER "never-before-seen-on-any-ESC-or-other stage" (except for certain copy cats that followed) which even include ... Madonna(!!) in her recent (2008) "4 Minutes" clip!!!!
If that's not enough, during his second time, in 2008, Dima
still remembers Greece's star ANNA VISSI from Athens as well as
how Greece's sexy SAKIS ROUVAS looked when performing his No. 3 winning song at the ESC 2004 in Turkey. Anyway, Dima is NOTHING like SAKIS ROUVAS because it simply comes natural to Sakis ( being sexy on stage!) ...
Kalimoira seems to get an age to get down off that stick that she's perched on & Russia's skater does some silly moves, but really I'm delighted with the whole show.
3 boring songs in 3 boring lives, at least dima will show more body parts (yet more after seeing his lil boxer when bending over the piano in 06)...
well at least the two ballads are ok.. greece is plain disgusting
