Sir Cliff and Olsen Brothers record together

Earlier this month three Eurovision stars came together in Portugal to record a new version of an older song. Sir Cliff Richard entered the studio with the Olsen Brothers and they recorded 'Look Up Look Down' from the Danish duo's 2001 album Walk right back.

Sir Cliff, who will soon be celebrating 50 years in the showbusiness with the Time Machine tour 2008 is still very active in music and life. He recently joined Olivia Newton John's charity project, Great walk to Beijing, walking the Great Wall and raising about £26.500 by sponsorship for Olivia's proposed Cancer Center in Australia. 4th September 2008 will see the publication of Cliff Richard's latest autobiography, My life, my way, published by Headline in hardback.

While in Portugal at the beginning of June, Sir Cliff and the Olsen Brothers recorded the new version of Look up, look down by the 2000 Eurovision Song Contest winners which will be included in one of the duo's future albums.

The funniest bit about Lys's appearance was when she thought she was in Bulgaria, not Belgrade . . . . . . bless!!! :)

"Congratulations" is one of my all-time esc favourites and it's a crying shame that it didn't win in 1968. "Power to all our friends" was a great entry too. Much as I like Anne-Marie David I think Cliff was the rightful winner in 1973 :)

Stephen Conn:
It seemed to me that Lys Assia didn't hear properly what the presenters said to her. Maybe that's why her answers were a little peculiar.

@ Larry: Together they're not as half as old as Lys Assia - but Lys is still looking better ;)

Cliff was never one of my favourites , I couldn`t stand Congratulations but he must be really sickened to know that he really should have won back then (was it 69 or 70?) if the Germans had not voted for Spain to encourage them to accept their TV system. Of course he is a bible-thumping Christain nowadays...

My God, the combined age of these 3 must be terrifying!
