At last in France

Divine on single… in vinyl!

The news will be appreciated by Eurovision collectors: this years’s French entry, Divine by Sébastien Tellier, is now released on single. However, this is not a CD... but a good old vinyl record!

Til now, the 2008 French entry could only be found on Tellier’s latest CD, Sexuality, as well as by downloading. Two promo CD singles were issued just before Eurovision, one having only the Eurovision edit, the second including 4 different remixes. As all promo material, they were of course hard to find, especially the 4-tracks CDs.

Recordmakers – the singer’s company – has published two different vinyls: a 12” (the song and two remixes) and a 7” with the 3 minutes version as well as another remix by Kasper Winding (a famous Danish musician and producer). The record is transparent.

It can be purchased on different websites but also on the company’s own shop here .

Meanwhile, Sébastien Tellier keeps on touring Europe. As reported on the record company’s site, he will be in Reykjavik next Thursday, August 28, then in Stockholm, Brussels, Paris, the Isle of Wight and Brighton.

Thanks to Alain.

This was one of my top 3 songs. Really, really refreshing and... original, actually. I'm not surprised by the vinyl edition of "Divine". That really sounds like Sébastien.

I can't understand why there are no cd-single releases, especially in sweden, where the song reached 4 in the charts just through downloads. That's sad, isn't it ? Of course, I don't expect anything in France, since I've never heard that song on any radio channel.

That song has really grown on me since I first heard it and it has a special charm.

I have only found out that this ( http://uk.youtube.co(...)&feature=related )
is him too. I never knew his name but you will have proberly heard this too.

Has eurovision harmed hios credability at all?

Divine is a great song, here in Portugal, the song is usually played on a radio station.
