B & H: Laka wins MTV Best Adria act Award
Loved or hated, Laka certainly made an impression on the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 viewers when he managed not only to qualify to the final but also enter the top ten in the final this year with his song Pokusaj.
Today, it was announced that he is also the winner of the prestigious Best Adria Act award, part of the MTV Europe Awards 2008 specifically for artists from Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Slovenia, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Croatia. The awarding ceremony will take place on 6 November at the Liverpool Echo Arena in the UK.

Thoroughly well deserved - original, smart, happy and profound, all in one. If only ALL Eurovision entries could be described as such (sigh...!).
dima bilan won the russian one, and shiri maimon won the israeli one

Along with France, Finland, Bulgaria and Turkey - Bsnia was my fave this year. Lovely to hear such an inspired indie pop ditty in ESC

Laka was my 2nd favourite on the night, after Azerbaijan. He's so kooky!
