First time I heard the Serbian song, I did not like it.
First time I saw the singer and the band, I did not like them either.
But later, when I listened to it again and again (but without watching) it started to make a good impression on me :-)
But I admit, I did not vote for it..

I know the combined results of French jury voting and televoting at semifinal two, but I don't know them seperately.
The combined results were as follows:

Somebody knows how the French public vote in semifinal?
I voted for the Netherlands at the second semi final, and surprisingly any point was allotted by France for the Netherlands??? Some of my friends did also the same for the Netherlands. n=20 persons... So Please, explain me how the vote works.

I agree with Lina. Every jury shall vote for the songs that they like without bias or any outside effects.
@filipe ramos, if one countrey have good song jury must vote for that song, is no good beacuse of immigrants jurys do not vote for some countreys just beacuse of immigrants ,and i dont speak for this year ESC but general
Even I don't approve the diaspora, I have to thank all the portuguese immigrants living in France to vote for one of the best entries this year ,.... However, I understand the opinion of the french jury .... din't vote for Portugal,because we would get the 10 or 12points. I would like to see Portugal's jury not to vote in countries such as Moldavia, Romania and specially Ukraine.Spain would do the same.

Dani Vega almost 1 million Portuguese live in France,native and luso-descendants. Actually 5 million Portuguese (native and descendants) live outside Portugal, being USA the largest community with 1,1 million residents, Brazil with 1 million and France with about a million. The population in Portugal is about 10 million people.

Eurovision 2009 results were fine for me.Even though I hated Rybak's song,I respect the result...
Why is everyone messing with the runner ups?I guess Dum Tek Tek was a very good song and it deserved its place,same for Aysel&Arash's Always!The majority liked these songs so the minority has to deal with it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love the new system, now we have more western countries in the game.The competition is merrier and fairer,I have no complains...

can something be done to stop this hijacking of threads? or now that the contest is over rather than look forward we have to look backwards? and with some quite hateful, non-esc related, unsubstantiated comments..I've been a member for some years but I've never recalled such vicious comments before and maybe other growing sites for ESC are much more diplomatic and debate-friendly these days..

I'm starting to think that it does not matter about Turkey recieving diaspora votes because it levels out the field! It seems as though some people wouldnt even vote for Turkey even if it is to have the best song...
But anyway, this topic is getting so silly. Why doesnt anybody talk about Norway, Israel or other countries for? It's as though Turkey is the only country in the esc!

by the way turkey people stop complaining... we (portugal) the wigher place that we have been was 6!!! in 46 years!!! last year we came in 2nd on semifinal and finnish 13th... so stop complaining there are other comtries with as good songs that turky or better that stayed worst on votes so its very unfair for other couties see you saying that stuff... you get 4th place its not bad... not bad at all... we didnt win in 46 year but we still try and if you stop complaining and start thinking in next year maybe you get a higher place...
