Top production people announced
Eurovision 2010: NRK and EBU organisers meet
Jon Ola Sand (48), has been recently appointed as NRK's Executive Producer for the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest. Hasse Lindmo (36) will be the Television Producer, while Stian Malme (39) the current NRK Head of Delgation for the Eurovision Song Contest is to become the Venue Manager. Evy Hauffen (56) was appointed Line Producer, she was involved in the Eurovision Song Contest 1996 in Oslo as Production Manager.
On Wednesday and Thursday last, the newly appointed production team met with organisers of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) to be briefed about the task that's ahead. Discussions on various topics such as the technical aspects of the contest, the content of the three live shows, infrastructure, marketing, branding, new media, press facilities and communication took place.
Svante Stockselius, Executive Supervisor of the Eurovision Song Contest at the EBU, spoke to eurovision.tv and was impressed by NRK's approach, "They already filled their key positions, did in-depth research to what it takes to organise this enormous event and they are eager to lay the foundations of the production before summer holidays."
NRK is currently in the process of selecting the venue where the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest will take place, which may be revealed in a couple of weeks. In September, the EBU Reference Group (the governing body) for the Eurovision Song Contest will visit the preferred venue to officially approve it.

The gay ESC host Rybak was talking about was most likely Per Sundnes. Sturla is NOT an ESC host and as far as I know he has no connection with Rybak.
That list of requirements was awfully long. I would hate to be an organiser of the show, looks so demanding and busy, lol.
ok..........ok.......
I have been to Norway once. What I liked most was whale meat. Delicious and extremely cheap. YUMMMM!!!!!
I hope Norway will pick this year a song in Norwegian. Being the host (and probably don't wanting to win for 2nd time in a row), NRK should pick folk songs in Norwegian for the MGP.
"Happy" news,
Oslo, from being the most expensive city in the world last year, has now went down from the list to being the fifth most expensive city in the world in 2009, right behind Copenhagen, Paris, Osaka and Tokyo. This is the first time since January 2006 that Oslo is not placed as number one.
However, Oslo is still the far most expensive fast food-country in the world.
LOL Sara, yes I'm stocky now
Yaaay Stocky !!
LOL Sara, yes I'm stocky now
@ Euro(vizz)tale
In Belgrade it was huge screens for those who didn't go to ESC to watch that on squere so Belgrade was better than Moscow in that!
oh, ORGANIZE*
to NOT oranize**
..and I guess the Russians this year did put too much effort on the stage, media coverage, euroclub etc. to organize an outdoor party with big screens for those who didn't get the expensive tickets to the Arena, lmao
@ Lily Bello
Yes Marko, for sure
Almost all teens in Oslo go to this concert every year, hehe! And I think the LCD screens will be on that place for people who want to watch the ESC finals outdoor next year
The place looks kinda small from those videoes Sara did show, but it's huge and a very big area.
@ Sara
And that video with Christine Guldbrandsen song and pics from Norway is Awsome too!

FIORDS!!!
Have you visited some fiords!?
@ Eurotale
Wiul you go to "Rådhusplassen" this year!?
I would like to go coz of Tone Damlie Aaberge and Kurt Nilsen!
Yohanna to Oslo
!? yeeeeeeeeeeees
I've got Get up and dance on my brain now
@ Sara
YAY!!
You remembered me well, coz I haven't used Lime Wire for ages! I found "Hvis du gar" there! That's AWSOME song!
But what does it mean?
P.S. I found one more good Norwegian song Gaute Ormåsen (idol) - "Kjærlighet Er Mer Enn Forelskelse"
and the comback of AQUA. Remember them?
Reminders of my childhood... "A wee petite Danish band", if I remember Søren and Natasja correctly from 2001.
Stockholm Calling:
You're welcome
Yeah, you should come to this concert one time...maybe next year you could stay in Oslo a couple of weeks after Eurovision...hehe
Btw. Everytime Stine calls you "Stocky" (is that your new nickname?..hehe) I think of the stock exchange for some reason...hehe)
Sara
Thank you so much for posting that video with The Ark
And I hope you'll have a nice time on Friday, what a great line-up
I must go there some time.
Marko:
Hehe, I knew you would like it
I look most forward to Alexander Rybak (hehe
), "The New guitar Buddies" (Kurt Nilsen, Espen Lind, Alejandro Fuentes, Askil Holm), A-HA and the comback of AQUA. Remember them? (Danish band with Norwegian singer)? Here they are with a mega-mix together with Safri Duo:

Lots of famous artists (both norwegian and international) have been on that stage in Oslo during the years. Especially international artists who have been on the VG-chart top 20. I don't know exactly where to download those songs you ask for (cause I'm not that into it) but try Frostwire or something maybe?
And official video of Tone Damli Aaberge - "Butterflies" is AMAZING! I saw it today for the first time! lol
* HVIS DU GAR. sorry! lol
@ Sara
That was AMAZING!!
And Fat Joe is famous and popular rapper, that means famous singers visit "Rådhusplassen"!
Sichelle was very good instead of Ashanti!
This year will be Tone Damlie Aaberge and Kurt Nilsen! They are fantastic!!!
P.S. Do you know where I can download Sichelle "Freaky" and "Hvis du gvar", I can't find those two!
For you who are not familiar with Oslo, here are some clips (the hometown of at least Eurotale, Stine and me):

Each year there is a FREE concert (VG-chart top 20) outside of "Rådhusplassen" (The Town Hall) close to Aker Brygge (the Marina) which attract about 100 000 people each year. It's the biggest free-concert in Scandinavia/The North. This year the concert is on this friday (19th june) and I'm going there.
Those performing:
Alexander Rybak and Frikar, Johanna from Iceland, a mini concert by A-ha, Jahn Teigen & Anita Skorgan, Aqua (comback-tour), Kool & The Gang, Lene Marlin, Timbuktu, Tone Damlie Aaberge, Kurt Nilsen, Espen Lind, White Lies, Metro Station and many more..

Hehe...enough for me for a while now...its time for me to take a little break..LOL!
Candyman 12 points:
Well i prefer southern places for summer holidays
Okay, so do I, cause I like to travel and experience other cultures and countries....but it sounded like you meant Norway only is nice in winter-time (which isn't true) thats why I asked if you have been here in summer.
. We are actually very lucky here up north I think, cause we have 4 really different seasons when it comes to change of climate (temprature, scenery and nature). Can I ask you were you are from?
Lily Bel:
Hehe, that wont be cheap..LOL! I can see myself running around with the umbrella in the air shouting "follow me...on your right hand is the Royal Castle...and to the left we have a famous pub, lets take a break, we need to taste the famous norwegian beer"..ROFL
Chris P:
LOL! That would probably be a very intimate commentator booth, cause I only have an appartment (not a big house).
I agree with you about Telenor Arena being the best choice after reading the requirements. Too bad Spektrum isn't bigger cause it is the best venue when it comes to transportation, location in the city close to hotels and in the middle of the "city-life". I have been to lots of concerts there and the athmosphere is always very (intimate) and good. Telenor isn't that far away from the city center, but Spektrum is better that way. If we choose Telenor I hope the audience will be tucked together (not spread all over) in an open area. To your question about if Telenor will be sponsor... They wouldn't want the stadium to change name I guess so they would probably be one of the sponsors. But somewhere I read that NRK is clear about that they do not want Telenor as the name of the arena (so I really don’t know..hehe). Hmm, maybe they could change the name back to the name which was originally planned for the arena: "The Blue Dream Arena» (because Stabæk football-team which is one of the owners and has their home ground there, wears blue jerseys).
Telenor Arena is referred to by Stabæk supporters as "Hangar'n" ("The hangar" in English), as the stadium resembles a hangar and is located on the premises of the former main airport of Oslo. Well, that was some "the story behind" descriptions....hehe
A pic of the arena from the outside (from distance):

Here is a picture of the arena as a football-arena:

When it comes to the hosts, Claus Wiese from NRKs entertainment division said NRK still have not decided who will lead the show.
- In 1996, we had the hosts ready in January. So ask me again in January, and you may receive a response, "said Wiese. - We shall use lots of time to find the very best, he added.
Ups...sorry for my long posts
