Umberto Tozzi will release new cd "Superstar"
Umberto Tozzi was born in 1952 in Turin. In 1976, he released his first album, Donna amante mia ("My loving woman"), from which came the single Io camminerò (I Will Walk) which at the time had been sung with great success by Fausto Leali (Italy 1989). In 1977 one of Tozzi's most famous songs was released-Ti amo.
He released 24 albums so far. The last one released in 2009 called Non solo live. Umberto Tozzi remains one of the most popular Italian singers abroad, and in the course of his career has sold more than 45 million records.
Umberto Tozzi & Raf represented Italy at the 1987 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Gente di mare and came 3 rd with 103 points.

I think part of Nikki French's problem was that she followed Linda's bizarre performance and then it all seemed so flat and forgetable. In the decade 1999-2008, she was probably the best UK entrant after Jessica Garlick, that isn't saying very much I know!!

I liked Linda but the performance was horrible, and Nikki French was just completely awful...

I adored Albania before they changed it all in 2005, I actually thought it was going to win until they changed it, however I still liked the English version. I have liked all of Albania's entries bar this year, and Besa was robbed 
and Ich Troje were okay in 2006, but AMAZING in 2003

I personally adored Latvia that year, and Macedonia didnt exactly make my top 10... but every contest needs a certain amount of trash, or ESC might become a respected contest.... and we cant have that...!

I know many ppl from West think that those girls from XXL can't sing at all, but here and in Macedonia many ppl who wath ESC like that song! 
I remember that in 2000 when they were chosen to represent Macedonia, they came here and were so proud to participate in ESC, Serbia couldn't participate at that time and it was chaos in country so some singers were very jelous (I mark that jelous coz it is about "XXL - 100% te ljubam" 
That shows how much we wanted to participate in ESC then, and what happens now here - nobody wanna participate ) !!
