Nuk mundem pa ty
Albania sends Juliana Pasha to Eurovision
The song Nuk mundem pa ty was composed by Ardit Gjebrea, who also wrote the lyrics along with Pirro Çako. Juliana Pasha's had previously competed twice in the Albanian national selection and her results can be seen as following a pattern as she finished third two years ago with Qielli i ri and she came second last year with Një jetë, performed as a duet with Luiz Ejlli. Juliana Pasha will most likely perform a new version of the song in Oslo. All of Albania's entries so far were reworked after the national final. The lyrics might be kept in Albanian (as it happened in 2006 and 2008), they might be changed to English (as it happened in 2004, 2005 and 2009) or the singer could perform a multilingual version (as it happened in 2007).
The complete results were as follows:
- Juliana Pasha - Nuk mundem pa ty (133 points)
- Anjeza Shahini - Në pasqyrë (118 points)
- Kamela Islami - Gjëra të thjeshta (116 points)
- Pirro Çako - Një tjetër jetë (106 points)
- Flaka Krelani - Lë të bëhet çfare te doje (99 points)
- Bojken Lako & Banda Adriatica - Love love love (98 points)
- Denisa Macaj - Aria (92 points)
- Dorina Garuci - Sekreti i dashurisë (78 points)
- Mariza Ikonomi - La, la, la (76 points)
- Rovena Dilo - Përtej kohës (69 points)
- Iris Hoxha - Zërin tim ta ndjesh (67 points)
- Erga Halilaj - Party (66 points)
- Erti Hizmo & Lindita Halimi - Nuk të dorezohem (66 points)
- Goldi Halili - Tirana Brodway (64 points)
- Kejsi Tola - Ndonjëherë (58 points)
- Stefi & Endrri Prifti - U dogjem mrekullisht (45 points)
- Guximtar Rushani - Gëzuar (43 points)
- Era Rusi - Fjalë dhe gjunjë (41 points)
- Teuta Kurti - Mall i pashuar (19 points)
- Claudio La Regina - Ave Maria (17 points)
esctoday.com poll results
The esctoday.com poll voters only partly agreed with the results in the national final. Juliana Pasha had finished equal fourth in the poll with 7.7% of the votes. Anjeza Shahini, who won the poll by a landslide (34.6%) finished second on the night. Karmela Islami finished sixth in the poll and third in the national final. Remarkably, Pirro Çako finished fourth in the national final but was one of only two acts not to get a single vote in the poll. The two acts who finished second and third in the poll, Denisa Macaj and Kejsi Tola, only reached seventh and 15th place in the national final respectively.
In 2009, Albania was represented by Kejsi Tola, who finished seventh in the second semi final and 17th in the final with her song Carry me in your dreams.

Her song is catchy, but is worse than "Carry me in your dreams" and Olta's song.... ;D But good luck....
It song is better than all songs from polish selection "Krajowe Eliminacje"...
sounds like Christina Aguliera Keeps getting better and Sam Sparrow Black And Gold seriously listen to the bet they should do what Netherlands did when that song sounded like closer Ne-Yo (2009 song)
JULIANA IS SIMPLY AMAZING !!! THE SONG SUITS HER PERFECTLY !!!
THIS IS GOING TO BEST THE BEST ALBANIAN PERFORMANCE IN EUROVISION, SO FAR !!!
GREAT ARTIST, VOCAL AND PERFORMANCE ! SHE WILL BE REALLY IMPRESSIVE IN OSLO !!! GOOD CHANCES FOR A TOP 10 !!!!
Why do I have the feeling that this was Copied from We can win the race- modern talking,

disappointed that Gjebrea couldnt create something purely original.
I love this, seriously.
Great choice.
As with all Albanian entries this will probably get a revamp before the contest, a proper performance worked out and english lyrics. But on what I have heard and seen so far I am really loving this one. She seems like a great performer and singer.
Well done Albania, all the best for the 5 months time.

omg seriously this song sounds like a British band Girls Can't Catch - Keep your head up , heres the youtube url http://www.youtube.c(...)/watch?v=gI6KF_L3OYo tell me if you think they sound oddly similar .
this is the best albanian song to date, well done albania
I have to say I have been completely thrown by Albania this year because honestly I was expecting a car crash (a la last year or 07). Will admit its not perfect but here is my in depth analysis on one listen:
The Pros:
This actually bare bones of the music is actually kinda alright! - its got a wee bit of Lady Gagaesque thing goin on and sounded like it could get a toe or two tapping... on second listening I think Alexandra Burke will be calling - sounds the spit of Bad Boys at the start
Secondly - I love your woman. I'll deal with her voice separately. God knows I love a crazy woman in Eurovision - the barmier the better. Look at Moldova last year, Slovenia in 2007 etc etc those girls were totally out of their wee minds mental and totally entertaining. This girl with her freaky locks and that we jolting movement she does could really challenged those crazies for top crazy woman ever in Eurovision!
The Cons:
Its in Albanian - I'm sorry to be so pro English some times but some times a song needs it... pop/dance songs especially. Your folksy stuff can be in Serbian, Estonian, Imaginery for all I care... but 9 times out of 10 its better in English... or at least French.
My theory though goes out the window now when it comes to Belarus, where every person in that country should have gaffle tape plastered on their face if they dare sing in English, however for Albania - if her English isn't totally garbled and they can get a decent lyricist - it might just do the trick!
Secondly, as much as love the crazy this song really doesn't need her choking so I would give the 'big', drawn out warbles a miss love
Anyway not a bad wee effort from Albania after the shockers they have hit us with in the past - curious now about what they will do with song so that I could maybe not be embarassed about kinda liking this song!
My favourite Albanian song so far... and that's not me being sarky!
Definite contender for the final... although I'd be interested to hear the English version.
Sometimes, I find these songs get lost in both translation and mispronunciation...

just..al Can you tell me the name of the show so I can find it online or post it on youtube if you recorded video please b/c i wanna watch the interview...
Wow I am so good at making predictions ....almost everything I say comes true my first reaction to it was this was made in english first ....lol ...I am so proud ....I know Ardid would not compose a song like that with Albanian lyrics...
well i must admit i like this song... but its a mix between keeps getting better by christina, s.o.s by a studio and a bit of alexandra burke on the way. i think this could do very well in oslo mind
I am liking this a nice up tempo song. Who knows with a rework could even be a potential high place.
About language, I always like songs to be in the language of the entry, however, I would not be surprised or too disappointed if this was in English. In all honesty as I speak not a single word of Albanian I already think I hear English words lol!!
shevek the type of music is the same as christinas or britney but juliana's song is not a copy of womenizer or keeps getting better when julianas song is gonna be in english you gonna see
hope to see back ups with juliana in oslo
GOOD LUCK JULIANA
Good voice, really hoping for some good english lyrics.
I actually quite like this...and she is a good singer. at least it doesnt sound completely dated like most Albanian entries....and one part of me thinks it would also sound great in english...but then the other part of me remembers all the dodgy english translations we have heard from Albania so far!!
in english it wll sound much better. its the kind of song that english lyrics suits to this kind of song. well done albania
I have listened to the songs 3-4 times. Actually I am starting to like it quite a lot. A think it will sure qualify - if she sings as well in Oslo. This type of music gets votes from lots of non-balcan country I think... northern europe f.eks...
I forgot, an another fact:
Ardit Gjebrea said that the song was originally created in English then it was done in Albanian.
I see your point, just......albanian. However, I do think that each country shoud sing in its native language, whatever the type of music.
Albamerican, singing in English won't prove that the song isn't Aguileraish or Britneyish, Juliana's voice and stage presentation will. Go Albania!
I told you so. That song does not sound well in Albanian that is why it didnt work for me when I first heard it. I was expecting it would be like ARDITs other song Eja, John.
Which show was it? can you post it on youtube? Oh poor Juli she is so heard when she read those mean comments and she was crying when people started to leave in the end ...sorry but my people are lame that what they did to Olta too and some to Kejsi...ah stupit people who spread lame rumors.. I love you Juli and dont let this idiot ruin you...
I actually don't mind the hair do. Besides, she has a great voice and I reckon she'll give a great performance.
ccccccccccccccccaaaaaaaaaaaaaa nnnnnnnnnnnnttttttt wait for english version so all this losers of albania and europe will see that the song in english will change totally and it ain't gonna be neither britney or christina as everyone is saying
Since the first moment I listened the song I realized that it would be translated into English, because it's the kind of song suitable for it.
