Who will compose for Serbia?
Serbia: Joksimovic and Bajaga top Blic poll
This year saw the end of the popular Beovizija, the annual festival used to select the Serbian representative in the Eurovision Song Contest. According to the new rules set by the Serbian broadcaster, one composer will be selected internally and he/she will prepare three to five songs which will be performed by artists selected by the composer and the broadcaster for the public to choose from.
3.500 readers voted in the online poll conducted by Blic, the online Serbian news site, and the two names that topped it where those of the Serbian Mr Eurovision, Zeljko Joksimovic and local top rocker Momcilo Bajagic Bajaga. Prominent names of the Serbian music scene were also interviewed and some quite interesting names were mentioned. Jelena Tomasevic, who represented Serbia in 2008 with a song by Zeljko told Blic: "It has turned out that Zeljko's songs have a lot of success at the Eurovision Song Contest, but I think that Kornelije Kovac would also be a very good choice. Whoever is selected, I wish him luck. I completely support the new selection format, it should have been introduced much earlier."
2009 Beovizija jury member, Bilja Krstic seems to disagree with the poll result claiming that although it makes sense to select an experienced composer, a chance should be given to younger creators because: "Eurovision should be a festival which would affirm young singers".
Finally, Ivana Selakov, member of the Beauty Queens who backed up winner Marija Serifovic in Helsinki and took part in Beovizija in 2008 and 2009 prefers Aleksandra Milutinovic. She also votes for Zeljko Joksimovic and Srdjan Simic Kamba or if a younger, less known composer were to be selected, then her choice would be Goran Radinovic.
The mystery will soon be solved as RTS will be announcing their decision in the next ten days.

Marko, thanks very much for the link.
At the moment I am not able to listen to it, but I am eager to do so. 8-I
@Lina !!!
What a silly comment from u!
I'm sure the Serb's want a 2nd victory, and if Zelijko will be the composer, then the possible for a win would be really high!
@Marko
Oh, sorry for the mistake then!
@ yerevan jan
That's very nice to hear!
And that's all Eurovision is about! Getting to know other countries and their music, and through that, getting to know it's people, culture etc...
Serbia has sent some really good songs over the last few year and I hope this continues... good luck to them
I just can't understand some people who repeat "Too much songs from Joksimovich, something new from Serbia". The only thing that I can say that he is a good composer and his art helped a guy from far Armenia to learn more about Serbia and to like it. This year's ESC was very poor for me as there wasn't such a balad like "Lane Moje" "ORO".
Some people who wrot that his songs don't win, are very subjektive! Couse In my opinion that is result injustice. No doupt "MOLITVA" was a good son but as to me that was worse than "LANE MOJE" and "ORO".
Hoping some good songs from Serbia and no doubt Joksimovich can do well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!
@ Vuk
In my opinion their songs weren't bad, but a bit unprofessional, I like up tempo songs more than ballads so I would like Spain to send quality uptempo song, tho I like this ballad!!
sorry but i cant beleave that Serbia dont have other good composers , Zeljko Joksimovic is very good composer but i thing he must give the change and to other song whriters to show theyr talent , and beacuse Zeljko Joksimovic songs take good places in the past that dont make him sure " good placer " or a winner.
hmmm i sense that this year serbia will send another great ballad!good luck
@ Marko Makka
Finally, Anabel is returning back to Eurovision!
The song is great and I really hope she wins for Spain, their songs in recent years were just horrible in my oppinion!
She could make another success with her new song!
Thanks for posting the link!
Serbia is one of my favourite countries in ESC along with B&H. Both these countries have sent songs that still rock my ipod. So,I'm really hoping for another succesful ETHNIC song from Serbia!!!!
sorry iam using this thread but the news are shocking for GREECE
"It was said today from the minister which controls things for ERT that
"Its A SHAME ERT has its name close with eurovision...that fiesta must stop being played at Greece"
so its logical the withdarw we saw might have a reason and other will come also...!!! "
@ Shevek
Look whole Anabel Conde's song for Spain 2010 "Sin miedos" is available:
http://www.youtube.c(...)/watch?v=x1El8drrOAo
I like it alot, but I ADORE Spanish uptempo songs!!
I think this will win however for Spain!
Marko, I am hoping you're right. Bosnia 07 was a very good entry, as usual.
@ Kenan
Sorry I made mistake, it's MilutiNovic!!
And yes, she is one of possible composers!
But maybe she won't compose Balkan ballad, coz If balkan balld will be our entry then Zeljko Joksimovic is better choice!
@Marko
Oh really?
I hope Aleksandra Milutibovic will be the composer then!
I loved 'Rijeka Bez Imena'!
@ Shevek
Maybe Aleksandra Milutibovic will be composer for our song, she composed Bosnian 2007 entry Marija Sestic "Rijeka bez imena', I hope you liked it!!
Ok, ok...
Milan S, I just don't wanna write about Kusturica in English and that's it!!!
Whoever ends up being chosen, he, she or they should write a good song in Serbo-Croatian. Furthermore, I would not care at all if Serbia went for something similar to the entry they sent in 2007. I do have to admit that I usually like the songs sent by the former Yugoslavian republics, especially Bosnia. Good luck!
Aleksandra Radović is AMAZING
)))
If she represents Serbia I'll vote for her
@Marko
Yes, it wasn't exactly useful, but I've seen far worse on this forum
Enough with that arrogant Joksimovic
I bet there are 100 times better composers than him ...... And If it is a tie between him and Bajaga I prefer Bajaga
Good Luck Serbia and hoping for a modern and fresh sound on Eurovision
Milan S, I dunno, my English is nt very good, and I wanted to write faster coz I wanna stop this useless discussion on site about ESC!!
@Marko
I don't know what was so special in your latest two posts that you couldn't write them in English - using Serbian in the way you did is not a good image for Serbia either
. If you don't like Kusturica and Bregović, that's fine, but why the rest of the forum shouldn't know that as well?
@ Vuk
Let's back on topic and just be more realistic!!
@ Milan
OK, ali ja ne znam kakve to veze ima sa JK.............
------------------------------------------------------------------
OK enough with JK, I will stop talking about her coz she won't participate in ESC, and I doubt Bregovic will participate too (thanks God), let's be a bit realistic, and wait for anouncment who will be composer first.
