10 points: Ziga i Druge: Blagdani
8 points: Klapa Iskon: Vrime za kraj
7 points: Swing Mamas: Trio tulipan
6 points: Franka Batelic: Na tvojim rukama : Ok song but NO hope at Eurovision
GOOD LUCK CROATIA - it has to be Frano
Bring back Danijela -the best ever
Ok on closer listen I'll comment on the ones that stand out to me one way or another.
Feminnem's song is pretty good. It's not a Eurovision winner in my opinion but I'm not going for this just because they already represented B&H in 2005 with jubbly shaking schlager. It's a decent mid-tempo ballad and they're a good choice if you want to play it safe.
Carla Belovari's song is nice. I like this kind of music. It reminds me of Moldova's 2008 entry which I liked a lot although this song isn't as good as A Century of Love. It also reminds me of the music in the game The Sims which is lovely!
The only other song that leaves an impression on me is Tihomir Kozinas. It's a pretty solid pop rock song but it's not particularly memorable. Still, I would like to see another song like this from Croatia. I think my favourite Croatian entry in recent years was Dragonfly & Dado Topic in 2007, although followed closely by Igor Cukrov and Andrea, which won me over only when it was performed in Moscow.
I don't see the hype in Franka's song. It's just harmless radio pop. Yes it's up to date but goes in one ear and out the other. When you're singing to an international audience in a language most of them won't understand, your song needs to have something special in the music or the performance to make it memorable without it seeming like a cheesy, obvious gimmick, or wearing a ridiculous outfit. This song doesn't have that, it's just a formulaic, harmless, commerical song for the Croatian audience.
I won't object to this being picked, but there are still other songs to hear and I think Croatia can do better.
@ Laila.
I didn't say its new overall..im saying its new for Croatia - which is a good thing!!..
First time in history of Dora Famminen has something good and listenble ...
i would choose Franka Batelić or Femminem its ok with me
OMG I love Feminnem! Very nice song, if it's not going to be Feminnem it has to be Franka, really like her song as well. xD
I think Feminnem will make it this year on Dora but...after last years "surprise" where the televote favourite was Klapa Intrade I'm kinda scared that this year the same could happend to Klapa Iskon..
about Franka...it's nothng new, although her previous songs were better than this one cause it sounds like "how to make a song in 5 minutes" .. I must admit that I'm disappointed a little bit..
anyway..SRETNO SUSJEDI !
@ Laila ♥ YEUROVIZJON!
Please Laila, I respect your opinion and I like to discuss with you on here... but you should really start respecting back.
You don't have the patent on what is "good music" and too often you act like that. It may not be on purpose, but too often it comes across that way.
And you are too often quick on generalizing certain genres and other people's taste, and if they don't agree with you, they have "bad taste".
And I guess I can be an example of that is not as "simple" as you sometimes put it. Because sometimes I agree with you, and sometimes I'm not... which means that people can have quite wide taste.
You say that some have very narrow taste, but maybe some people think the same of you when you're constantly acting arrogant towards all "typical Eurovision".
I don't want to argue, and this wasn't meant to be mean or anything.. I just think that just as much you want people to respect your views, maybe sometimes you could atleast do the same back.
With that said; offcourse you should have your own taste, but maybe not act like you owe the right to "good taste", because we all know taste differs.
@Todor _Bre
Just because Croatia hasn't sent it before doesn't make it new.
@TK
Ditto.
IMO Feminnem is the best choice, we could be ranked high with this beautiful song!
Other options would be Alibi and Tihomir
Dunno why thid you raise all this noise about Franka; her song is boring; been there, done that!
franka, franka
Femminnem is the best!
The Jury loved them in 2009and granted them with the full 16 points. I don't see a reason that'll cahnge this year.
Franka wasn't the jury's favorite at all,so I guess she might not stand a chance. she is not good on stage, singing live.
Good luck Feminnem - you deserve it girls!
Yeah! Franka or Feminnem to Oslo. I prefer Feminnem a little bit more because of the reason I mentioned before.
It took some time for Franka to catch me.
jobrni je jobrni means okreni je okreni
Pera
but I just can't break those chains of ecstasy
Jooooj ne mogu da verujem... hahah!
Didn't listen to all the songs, but I am sure Franka would do very well in Oslo. The song is not the most original, but I think this could be top 5 material.
@ Marko

Well, it's catchy! It didn't catch me at first listening but now it caught me and it won't release me!!! I want to escape but I just can't break those chains of ecstasy!!!
Martina Vrbos: Ti i ja
Is also amazing
But Franka is the winner here no doubt
@ Pera
LOL
What is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOO special about that song!?
It's OK, pleasent and listenable, but..................
Uh! I've listened to Franka's song about a hundred times by now and I can only say I LOVE IT NOW!!!
I can't get enough of it now! I'll have to write an exam this afternoon but I won't be able to concentrate on it because Franka's song is ringing all over my head!!!
Sorry Laila but I totally disagree with you now!!!
@ Pera
Aha OK!!
And I agree with this:
Yes, but if I have to listen to the potential Eurovison song for several times it's not good! Majority of the Eurovision Song Contest viewers hear the song just once and decide whether they will pick up the phone and make a call. They don't listen to the songs several times online.
@ Mira Craig
Well, Rijeka is outside Istria but very close and it's a big city so people stick to standard language like in other big cities. Jobrni je jobrni is a song from rural parts of Istria, I'd say.
People in Rijeka have accent similar to the people in Zagreb only without "kaj".
@ benji
Yeas, but if I have to listen to the potential Eurovison song for several times it's not good! Majority of the Eurovision Song Contest viewers hear the song just once and decide whether they will pick up the phone and make a call. They don't listen to the songs several times online. When I first heard Feminnem's song it left an impression to me at first listening and this is what counts.
@ benji
He just did it..
@ Pera
Aha, I see you from Slavonia....
I have been to Rijeka, I'm not sure if Rijeka is in Istra, ppl in Rijeka speak normal Croatian as I noticed....
@Pera
Why do you think that this song of Franka is bad and can't be compared to her previous songs? I must admit I can't see a big difference, this song is much the same type of song as other songs of her. Maybe you should listen to the song several times.
@ Mira Craig
Yes, now I see you wrote before that you didn't know what this means. I missed it somehow.
Istrian dialect sometimes makes me laugh and it's strange for me as I come from the eastern part of the country. They speak in a weird and funny way!
