Ten acts were still in the running and after the first round of voting, three acts went to the 'super final'. Hi Sara!
You're welcome!
Greetings
They are all average and jury friendly (it's a cause and effect relationship)
Finland chose a good song - best winner so far. Netherlands is also good, so is Switzerland. I don't like Albania's choice though.
Nicky Peeters:
Thanks for the link
I am really excited to hear the selection from Ireland this year. Ronan Keating has written a song and Niamh Kavanagh (the winner of ESC 1993) is back again also with a strong anthemic ballad with a distinctly Irish flavour (I read). And Brendan Graham has written one song too.
Funny that both Rolf Løvland ("The touch" in Norway) and Brendan Graham (in Ireland), the two men behind the world famous song "You raise me up" are competing in each of their national final.....cool
And also Johnny Logan is said to have written a song. And surprise surprise..of course it had to be a swede involved in Ireland too..hehe (Alexander Bard from BWO). A really exciting selection. Can't wait to hear the songs
Hi Princess Engla!
You're welcome!
Greetings
@Nicky Peeters:
Thank you very much for the link! This was exactly what I needed!!!
Hi Princess Engla!
Especially for you, take a look at this link: http://www.allkindso(...)ing.ie/IrishNews.htm
Greetings
A question: what about Ireland? I haven't heard anything about their selection...Any info about this?
Hi Dawid Sz.!
You're welcome!
Greetings
Well ......... Here is the TOP 4
from the 4 already picked song...LOL
1.Albania
(This song when sang in English with a proper stage performance and her voice which is AMAZING is a qualifier)
2.Switzerland
(It's not very original and that guy looks like Dumbo , but from these 4 song this definitely deserves second place)
3.Finland
(It's simply not good .... that's all I can say , and believe me I tried listening to it)
4.Netherlands
(The melody is dull but I am still waiting for the final version presented and hoping for a different arrangement of the song)
Waiting for better songs to be honest
Sweden - MF:
Without hearing any songs from MF I am only curious about Ola and Salem Al Fakir from 1st semi
Norway - MGP:
I really have a hard time deciding who I want to win. I like almost all the songs this year. I think I lean towards A1 or Alexander Stenerud (both of them I’d be really happy winning
) followed by Didrik/the 2 Marias/Bjørn Johan/Venke (I wouldn’t mind any of those winning either). The only one I'm not really keen on winning is KOK.
Denmark
I haven’t been able to listen to the snippets yet (it doesn’t work for me)
Iceland
The songs I like the most is Jógvan Hansen (too bad his voice isnt good enough), Iris Holm (Iceland should maybe go for something different than a ballad this year) or Hera Björk.
Slovakia
I haven’t heard any of the songs from the 5th or 6th quarter final, but I REALLY hope Tomáš Bezdeda
will win and represent Slovakia.
Azerbaijan, Germany and Cyprus
Haven’t heard any of the songs yet….
Marcus Klier:
Ahhh...thank you.
That has completely passed me by. I thought that the Netherlands were going to send this cute elderly man...hehe
(btw I didn't know who he was but now I read that he and he started to sing only 8 years old..naaw. He has written almost 1600 songs, OMG! he has even written the promotional song for the animated movie "The smurfs"..which I love..hehe..

I thought at first after De Toppers last year that the dutch were going on this path to "top it" with sending an even older guy. LOL!
@ Nicky Peeters
thank you

Pierre Kartner was internally chosen as composer of the Dutch entry and the song he wrote is the one in the video. In the national final, the best performer will be chosen out of six acts who will all perform this very song "Ik ben verliefd, sha la lie".
If the Netherlands have allready chosen their song, why is there this information in this article?:
Sunday, 7th February - Netherlands - National final
1.ALBANIA --POTENTIALLY WINER OF ESC 2010
2.SWISERLAND --GOOD BALLADE NOT FOR WINNING
3.NETHERLANDS-ITS INTERESLLY TO LISTENED
4.FINLAND-INTERESLLY BUT SO FUNNY, ITS A MISTAKE OF TRADICIONAL FOLK
I have listened the english version of Albania, its sounds till now winner of eurosong 2010
top 4
1.Albania
2.Swiserland
3.Finland
4.Finland
FINLAND IS GREAT!!

Hi Dawid Sz.!
The 34 countries competing in the semi-final, will be drawn into their semi-finals this sunday, on February 7th.
Greetings
I've got a question....
when will be drawing a semi-final ?
Marko
I mean that lol, that would be a long song xD
So far, The Netherlands are best.
Niamh Kavanagh, Brendan Graham and Alexander Bard have all submitted songs for the Irish selection. This one will come big.
Patte
30 seconds, not 30 minutes LOL
Engla
The swedish songs will be released in Friday
just 30 minits snippets though
Is there any news about when we can listen to the swedish songs?
Why is everybody so enthousiastic about that Hera song ? It's so mainstream, it's such a copy of "This is my life", it's so europop that it will struggle getting through to the final.....
Netherlands...brrrrr, I just don't like the demo, that I'm not really bothered who will be punished to sing this horrible little thing..... but in the 10 sec semo's, I like the girlgroup the most.
Norway, I hope for Venke, but probably that will be A1.....
Slovakia I am not really following, although I should as Martin (presenter) is a really good friend of mine....
MF, I probably go to the Swedish pub at Baker street and watch it together with a bunch of Swedish friends.....
