Helena Paparizou back with a new single in spring
Last year, Helena had personal problems - she lost her father and had to make a break in her career. After a long break, she will come back finally in spring with a new single called Pigene me sto ities (Bring me to yesterday). The new album will include pop, rock, ethnic and dance songs.

The whole "melodifestivalen story" is only a rumour.Maybe she was offered the wildcard but i don't think she went on to record a song...Elena has repeatedly stated that she will not enter esc as a singer again...She wants to honour Sweden doing something else eurovision-related(host the show,announce Sweden's points at the night of eurovision final,write the lyrics of a song)...
After 14 months of depresion thank god she is back. She tried to return last year but couldnt overcome personal problems and depresion because of the sudden death of the father.
Thamai allios wasnt really a big hit. Pyrotehnimata was a huge success last spring and a big number one in the greek airplay.

Oh never mind, I found the article about this year. Interesting, I did not know anything about it. (If true)
@Stockholm calling, I don't think anything was official. (This is also the first I am hearing of it this year) It seems she is rumored as a wild card contestant every year. Elena has said though that she thinks its too soon. She also said she would rather do something else related to ESC for Sweden, like hosting.

Helena was offered the 4th wildcard in MF this year She recorded a song but withdrew about a month ago.
I agree 100%The "new" more mature Elena is great!Her latest album was her greatest success and many of the songs were amazing.
