Song promotion kicks off
Armenia: Eva Rivas launches website and blog
Karen Kavaleryan, whose songs have represented five different countries at the Eurovision Song Contest (Russia 2002 and 2006, Armenia and Belarus in 2007, Ukraine and Georgia in 2008), arrived in Armenia days ago. During the press conference he stated that Apricot Stone is one of his best songs ever written for the Eurovision Song Contest and he hopes to see Armenia among the top leaders this year.

Bisey degil!
Sizi bu canilerden korumak benim görevim!
kenancım saol
Jan Jan honey I'm sorry if I broke your heart but if you read my comments you will see that I have no bad words for my good Armenian friends, as you can see in one comment that my best friend is an Armenian living in Turkiye. I have expressed my sorrow for each side's (both Turkish and Armenian people) and I am expecting some Armenian friends to feel sorrow for the Turkish people killed by Armenian rebels back then MUTUALLY. And this song by Eva Rivas has all kinds of propaganda material in its lyrics and that is what I am against. I LOVE YOU JAN JANCIM AND GOOD LUCK TO EVA ANYWAY
Hi @ Kenan jan
Unfortunately, some acting in this site is not good events .... I wonder that you agree with @ Gunes attitude? they longest propaganded negative about our song. But all those people are write always good whishes about MaNgAs song. But you called they as hater ?. I think this case is not honestly. Kenan, if we take hand to hand, we can prevent to the bad energy on this pages.
@GUNEC GULUN
Let these douchebags just write stuff!
They were brought up with hate, nationalism, racism, ...!
Biz onlarin seviyelerine düsmeyelim!
@Rita Belindarian
Every1 has the right here to write comments, u can get out from here if u want with ur best friend haydut lol!
And about 1915, do u all really think our soldiers killed innocent Armenians for fun? To kill so many Armenians ( 1,5 million ) was a MUST! Why? Coz u Armenians wanted our lands in the east from us, and u still see it as ur land nowadays! Of course that wasn't ( and it isn't still ) acceptable for us! So, stay in ur little stinky country, which GDP is in the 136th rank
))))))), and just enjoy here on this site with EUROVISION, and not with POLITICS!
Kisses from Ankara!
My problem is a political song in ESC
Rita read my posts through and talk afterwards...
Gunec Gulun,
What's your problem ?
If you unconfortable with Armenia or anything Armenian, then don't come on this country's threads and don't post your messages full of hatred and stupidity.
Your governement has slaughtered hundread of thousand innoncent men, women and children just because they were Armenians. The WWI was just an excellent occasion for your government to elliminate a christian ethnic minority. The Armenians weren't at war against Turkey. Don't post here false information. The majority of Armenians were in the Ottoman army during the WWI. First you have exterminated the soldiers and officers, then you have deported and kiled the civilians. You like it or not. The nowdays Turkey is the heir of the Ottoman Empire and therefore it is resposible for the Genocide of Armenians. Don't come here and post your denialist crap
This is not the place for it. Get out from here
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ARMENIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! !!
YOU ARE THE BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEST!!!!!!!
I LIKE YOU RIVAS!!!!!!!!
GOOD LUCK HAYASTAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GOOD LUCK EVA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!
so if something is extremely forbidden in any country,it show that something is behind this!!
IT IS NOT FORBIDDEN WHATSOEVER. THERE IS NO SUCH LAW AND THERE IS NOBODY JAILED FOR THIS. IN TURKIYE EVERYBODY CAN TALK ABOUT EVERYTHING AND THIS FREEDOM HAS REACHED DANGEROUS LIMITS.
There are fanatics everywhere, they can kill him (Orhan Pamuk) everywhere which I wouldn't want of course but if he is uncomfortable with his country's history, he doesn't have to live here. He can live with people he likes. And if he prefers to come live here in Turkiye I am sure he will be secured by the government because the government wouldn't want to get under suspicion by his death.
As for Taner Akçam I don't know about him much to be honest but I think he has almost the same personality as Orhan Pamuk
Hrant Dink was a god citizen of Turkiye who loved his country and was assasinated by a pure asshole (he is still in jail and I hope he will stay there forever). Everybody was sorry about his loss like all other Turkish journalists who were assasinated. And he is one of the most lucky ones now that the assasin was caught.
Orhan Pamuk is an asshole because he talked about only half of the truth which put his own country in suspicion for nothing. And he did it only to look symphatetic to necessary people who can help him win the Nobel prize.(Turgut Ozakman who is a bestselling author who writes novels about our independence war and Canakkale war is not to win the nobel prize is he?)
@gunec
but he scaped to be alive!
like taner akcam!
so how can you explain murder of Hrand Dink????
so how can you explain that fact that in 1915 in ethnic cleansing of armenians,ottoman armies were active in that cleansings??
so dont deny with blind eyes!just try to see the other side!!why orhan pamuk is asshole?because he is speakin about something that is extremely forbidden in turkey?????so if something is extremely forbidden in any country,it show that something is behind this!!!
In world war two jewish people's condition was totally different, they were tortured and killed which is terrifying but they had no soldiers or rebels that killed nazis.
If this song is not about that so called genocide, I want to hear it from the lyric writer and the singer by a press conference.
And Lusine it was not a war between armenia and ottomans, it was a WORLD WAR
By the way Haydook, nobody is prisoned in Turkiye because of using the word genocide, look at Orhan Pamuk the asshole, he is still living a quite comfortable life, he was not even judged for his bullshit.
This is the last time I am posting on the genocide issue on the Eurovision site – I am sorry I just couldn’t help answering to the expression “this was because of a war” I came across for 100 times here. This was not because of a war (as if there was a war between Armenia and Turkey) but during the war. If we follow the same logic than people would say that there was no holocost of the Jews but just a war – which is terrible…
I really didn’t want to continue the discussion of this issue here – so this is my last statement on this.
As to the meaning of the song – frankly it has never occurred to me that it has any connection with the genocide. It’s just a song of a girl who lives far away from her country but feels the ties. It’s about love for motherland, strength etc. I agree with Inessa - this song refers to all diasporas in the world.
Peace to everyone...
Many, many years ago when I was a little child, Eva now is 21,it was explaned here many times that Eva could not see genocide because she wasn't born yet. But I don't understand why you don't want to see the true and to understand that this song does nothing to do with genocide. It's a song about the girl that lives away fom her motherland and misses it. I just want to get back to my roots. It's so simple. Only very ill fantasy can imagine somthing else. By the way not only a lot of armenians live away from there motherland, I think that other people who live far from their countries can accept this song as somthing common.
I don't believe it has no armenian source whatsoever...it is not objective. What we have talked with Haydook today are the truth, so that 'documentary' does not interest me. EVERYBODY HAS SUFFERED MUTUALLY BECAUSE IT WAS A BLOODY STUPID WAR AND IT IS OVER, that's all I say, and THIS SHOULDN'T BE A SUBJECT FOR THE LYRICS OF A SONG IN EUROVISION SONG CONTEST WHICH IS SUPPOSED TO BE A FRIENDLY COLORFULL CONTEST BETWEEN CULTURES. THIS IS MY POINT...
Gunec just check it out, and it's not armenian sourse.
http://www.facinghis(...)ocide-lesson-eight-d
i just want you to understand that I'm against bringing up some stupid war which took place the last century and bleeded every side mutually like all wars IN A SONG CONTEST AND TODAY.
@gunec
i think you are "one nation two countries"LOL!
so im right!
yeah of course,wemust finish it,you will say yours i will say mine!
FINISH
OMG and now you bring up Azerbaijan situation out of nowhere. It has nothing to do with this topic. (although there is a whole lot I can talk abou it, but not here). We are talking about the same things and none of us is lying and that shows that both sides have suffered as in all GOD DAMN WARS...That is what I am trying to tell and you keep on denying.
@gunec
my granddma' mother's aunt been killed when he was pragnent!and turk and azeri soldiers forced her boy (8 ears old) to pull their cart,soldiers said if you cant pull it,you will dye,boy could not pull that cant,and they beheaded that little boy!!!im not lying!i promise!!!
im alive document!!even my grandma's uncles statue is in zangezoor region , because he was one of fedayis who fighted against turkish armies!
you are saying the same things that we are saying!we say you assaulted womens,you killed pregnants,...you are saying the same to us...do you know why?because of denial politic!!your little brother is denying completely existing of armenians before of 1825=)))))azerbaijan even publishes books about christian azerbaijan=))))))))they say our Edjmiatsin was their!!!they built it!!not armenians!!!!!!OMG!!!!do you kno why????again becuase of denying poletics!turkey and azerbaijan used and are using from this situation to make new histories!!!and do you know how much is dangerous this situation for us????all turks and azeris just learned one thing : armeninas came by supporting of russians,they captured our lands,they killed all of turks!!!!!
one day if if if armenia gets under control of azerbaijan,i have no doubt that there will be second armenian genocide!!i have no doubt!!
i never said you racist!!!loving your country does not means that you are racist!i love my country but im not racist!i will never kill azeri soldier at sleeping time!and do you know when happend this??2006!!it means that until now.there is the same politic from turk peoples against armenians greeks assyrians kurds...th e SAME!!the same panturkistic politics!!again because of DENIAL of armenian genocide!!i have no doubt that if this denial situation and anti armenian politics continue in turkey and azerbaijan,there will be second genocide!!!!!i promise!
and i dont know what you will say in that time
,maybe you will say again : we did not do this,armenians did
i think we must finish this argument!!in other way it will continue til .... iyi gunler gunec!
and my best friend is an armenian her name is Hermin...and I love her...
I said nobody is milky white if you remember. And it was a god damn war. Turkish soldiers might have killed armenians or others while armenians killed pregnant Turkish women and played with the embryo in their swords BECAUSE IT WAS A GOD DAMN WAR NOT A GENOCIDE AND IT IS OOOVEEERRR.
