Lithuania sends InCulto to the Eurovision Song Contest

The winning song was chosen by a mixture of jury and televoting, each of them having a say of 50% in the outcome.

The esctoday.com poll voters partly agreed with the results in the national final. InCulto had finished third in the poll with 12.6% of the votes. Poll winner Aiste Pilvelyte (30.4%) finished second in the national final.

The 2010 esctoday.com National Final Awards will be held between April and May, which means between the national final season and the Eurovision Song Contest. We will repeat the same format with two rounds for nominations which was used this year - you can read how it works here. However, this time the individual polls for each country will always be held right after the national final, when the entries are still fresh. You can vote for your favourite performance not to qualify in the Lithuanian national final here and for your favourite song not to qualify here.
In 2009, Lithuania was represented by Sasha Son, who finished ninth in the second semi final and 23rd in the final with his song Love. In 2010, Lithuania will compete in the second semi final of the Eurovision Song Contest on 27th May.

I said this last year with Georgia, the rule about politics is stupid, because this song is incredibly political. However, as it fails to be 'against' someone or something it probably won't be disqualified. I would guess in the strictest sense it does breech the rather vague rules.

Say that I am stupid, but isn't this song political? In the lyrics you can see words that are politically not good: "We survived the reds and 2 world wars". The 'reds', I think, are russians. So why this song isn't disqualified yet? Georgia was disqualified because of word combination but this is clearly political expression. Maybe just I think so... But well we've chosen Inculto, good luck.

Omg, stop criticizing... Are you jealous or what? these guys are awsome, charismatic and so energetic.. They deserve to take a good place in eurovision! Because in my opinion It's much more easier to sing bored typical eurovision balads than to show such energy and make all audience dance like they did... not everyone could do this, really not And please, be just more tollerant and stop defame.. if you want to say something, wish good luck or smth, but not any bad words, It's enough.. Ak, sugadinote jūs viską vineriai, balsuodami už žemo lygio dainušką. Neleidžiate tinkamiems dalyvauti: vietoj Amberlife išrenka pasčiausius -Liną su Simona, 2009 metais Sašoko fanai nustumia Donatą Montvydą, kuris buvo puikiai pasirengęs Eurovizijai, 2008 metais išrenkama labai nuobodi daina, kurią galėjo pakeisti, uždegti tik aukšto lygio profesionalas, bet ne medinis ar metalinis Milius, o juk 2008 metais Pilvelytė turėjo gerą eurovizinę dainą.
