Virpi is back
Half of CatCat on a new CD
It is actually the same concept than Tauski Peltonen's latest CD (Tauski is Virpi's husband): new dance versions of old classics. Virpi's own CD includes 18 tracks (it's a double CD), among which cover versions of Alcazar's Crying at the discotheque and Alexia's Summer is crazy. There is also two 2009 versions of Bye bye baby (radio and club edits). The new CD features two of CatCat's greatest hits in Finland as well as some new material of Virpi. For instance Marraskuu:
Last year, Tauski Peltonen's own CD - entitled Reloaded too - reached gold status in Finland. The man tried his luck several times at the Finnish national selections. Funny to remember that the husband-to-be placed 10th and last with Seitsemänteen taivaaseen the same year than CatCat won the ticket to Eurovision.
CatCat represented Finland in 1994 with Bye bye baby and finished 22nd out of 25 songs.

@Marianna melita say a big thanks to you and send you a kiss and make a purr for you...LOL its better do be homeless and alive beacuse in Cyprus 90% of homeless cats killed by cars and they dont live more than 1 - 2 years beacuse of that

No, we don`t have that problem. But we have homeless animals. Some of them are found outside. Winter is a difficult time for animals, of course. But it is not so big problem in Finland.
@Marianna streets in Cyprus is full of killed cats ( by cars ) especially in summer and in juanuary - february- march ( when cats have copulation ), do you have same thing there?

@Marianna, melita was like that from the time who was 2 months, Persian race cats and especially females is like that, i leave her once to have a babys and she jelous her babys also when they babys was 1 month old and then, but my neighboor is not very nice for animals He kill Melita's babys 2 heavy persian white males they was 8 months when my neighboors give them poison and i saw them to death Its was very hard for all family beacuse it was our babys I v tried to save them but the poison it was very strong , police investigate the matter but beacuse my neighboor is a policeman you know the case close without punishment. Btw Saru is very beatyfull give him a big kiss from me , i remember yous picture with your cat @Axel animals is my life , i found many times animals in the streets who was was hurts by cars and a take them to veterinarian and i pay too mach money for that, maybe some people call me crazy but if i m crazy beacuse of that i m proud beacuse i m crazy
As regards Cat-Cat's appearance in 1994 ,Virpi told me the clothes were not their idea and as for the 2 'dancers' on stage with them, Cat-Cat had not met them until rehearsals in Ireland started and didn't even know they were having American dancers on stage with them.When asked if Virpi would do Eurovision again she said she would like to but she'd want more say into the performance and not be ignored about decisions affecting the staging.YLE take too bigger say in Finland's entries - remember Lordi threatening to withdraw?The tophat was the only concession they accepted.

One more thing about cats. Because your Melita is already quite old, it can be difficult to get her accept other animals. She thinks that your home is just her territory / turf.

I think, you make a mistake. I have only one cat, Saru and he is definitely enough for me. Saru is pretty wild and big cat. He is young. British shorthair is heavy and friendly cat. The only thing he can not stand is a veterinarian.

Lina, it's so cute the way you talk about your animals.... really nice, I like people looking well after their animals. Maybe you have to write a song about your cats for next year eurovision...
@Marianna i remember a pic of you with a long hair cat or i make a mistake? My cat is persian white, she is almost 12 yo , i have also and one black-white "street" cat His name is rudi But they jelous each other 
and especially the persian the persian like only me my father and my mother , also she hate small kids and small cats But she is real lady in her behaviour I never had a dog and i want to have a dog but beacuse always i use to have many cats ( 3 - 6 ) i was afraid and now the persian dont want a dog I tried many times to have dog but the persian make troubles

I also have a cat. He is blue British Shorthair, actually he is gray-blue. His name is Saruman, Lord of the rings Saruman = monster. I call he just Saru.
Three weeks ago it wounded his leg. Veterinarian had to sew it. It was a difficult time, because he could not tolerate sutures and medication. But now he okay and happy without afwul sutures.
This year Finland send perfect song I love it and all time Finland is my numbe one I will send many sms from Poland

It was one of Finland's less impressive entries... to put it mildly.... But those girls looked very sweet and innocent in their underwear.... and that choreography.... those were the days....
virpi doesnt do any face job and she have also 3children nowadays i think this cd is full of coverage song of other artist 1994 was so good song and i like new 00version 0f that song, their underwear was so awful. Girls told that they design/designate those awful clothes by itself...funny

The song was nice, but the girls' vocal performance was abysmal. Thus, they got what they deserved. Glad to learn that Virpi still has a career though. Good luck!

It is from Katajanokka, Helsinki. It is like a small island. I live there. It is a place where boats leave to Stockholm and Tallinn.
We still have snow. This photo has been taken yesterday. Fortunately, it is not so cold anymore. We have had more than minus 20 degrees in Helsinki.
