Armenia: Backing vocalists chosen!
Miriam Merabova, who was the back vocalist of Dima Bilan (2006), Dima Koldun (2007), and Ani Lorak (2008) during the Eurovision Song Contest, confirmed that she will be one of the the backing vocalists of Eva Rivas, the Armenian hopeful in Oslo. Miriam Merabova, born in Armenia, sings for her own jazz-band called “Miraif”
As Miriam says "I am going to be on the Eurovision Song Contest stage again, and finally with the Armenian team. I am very happy to accept the invitation to be the backing vocalist of Eva Rivas. I have missed the Eurovision Song Contest very much and it is also a big honour for me to be a part of the Armenian team in Oslo, as far as I am Armenian and I feel my roots better now."
Meanwhile a new version of the Armenian entry is rumoured to be released soon in March.

I don't think any backing vocalists could save this song.
I like the song but no her performance...She will need a very good back up, and forget about Eva dancing...
I also think there are many reasons why Armenia could be battling the victory (esp. since Russia and Ukraine are out LOL). I have no doubts they will be doing a great performance in the final (only judging by all the last Armenian participations, it could be the exception this time, but I don't think it will be like that).
I so want to hear the new version of it! I already like a lot the way it is (and knowing it should have some changes!)

Armenia will win the Contest. Mark my words. But they'll win it not because of the quality of their entry. I hope for us to send an even better song after last year's 5th spot. UK will be BACK, hopefully!!!

well i always liked mihran , i think he is really very talented and i was so sure he will give us a great show as usual, i liked emmy too and their song was the best by so far for me, after hearing it, i started to play it 20 times or maybe more everyday and i was so sure they will win your national final so simply i am disappointed , eva is a cute girl and still her song is in my top 10 but with hey armenia would be my fav song of 2010
OMG I ALWAYS KNEW IT WAS THE SAME FAT LADY BACKING VOCALIST FOR BELARUS IN 2007 AS WITH RUSSIA IN 2006 AND THEN SHE WAS WITH UKRAINE IN 08 HAHA! Glad I now know her name!

Emmi and Mihran's live performance was auful. Eva's performance was not the best either, but to me the song is the best.
As for Eva's capabilities, just watch the video linked, and you'll see how she really can perform on stage.

Like I have said before nice melody (especially in the beginning) but with very poor monotone lyrics which cannot be defined!!!

I agree, but you know that backing singers are very important too (especially when they sing better than the main singer) !
i am still angry about emmy and mihran , really they would be my fav of esc 2010, anyway good luck to this girl i hope she will sing better than the national final
The most important thing should be Eva Rivas' vocals... so an article about backing vocals is not really necessary
it must be great to be a backing singer and be able to participate in several ESCs!
