Tonight: National final in Greece
The show
The show to be broadcast in Greece on NET and ERT World, also in Cyprus on RIK 1, will start at 21:00 CET (22:00 local time) and it will be hosted by Rika Vagiannis and Tzeni Balatsinou. Seven acts will present one song each and the winner will be chosen by a mixture of jury voting (50%) and televoting (50%). The show will feature as special guests this year's Cypriot and Bulgarian representatives and Katerine Avgoustakis.

In 2009, Greece was represented by Sakis Rouvas, who finished fourth in the second semi final and seventh in the final with his song This is our night. In 2010, the country will compete in the first semi final of the Eurovision Song Contest on 25th May.

Oh God! I really wonder if Michalis Rakintzis has lend a hand to this song introduction phase of the show. Last time I saw something such unearthly was when he represented Greece in the ESC lol :-))

Hasn't Alkaios dyed his hair blond since the 90's? I remember music videos with his hair blond. I thought he was just wearing the cap to hide the fact that he is most likely almost bald now. (He was balding back then. Imagine what he is like now.

:I heard Alkaios dyed his remaining hair blond that's why he was appearing with that cap everywhere...Maybe he had a bottox too that's why he used the sun-glasses...Hatzinasios will be accompanied on stage by 3 female dancers using a rope...They will also be crawling...lol...Sunny will come out of a cage and they will use a snow-effect towards the end of the song...Manos will have 3 cretan dancers dancing through the strong bridge of the song...Alkaios' choreography will be showing the history(?) of Greece,Kardimos will be alone with only words of his songs projected to the backdrop.Melisses will be a simple band with their video of the song in the backdrop and last but not least Emigre will have a sense of a greek musical from the 60's while during the syrtaki bridge they will be like statues coming to life...

All this frenzy!As for me i haven't made up my mind yet.Anything except Alkaios,Hatzinasios and maybe Emigre...The live performance will be the defining factor i guess...As much as i like Second Skin i believe they may not go through to the final of esc... 
To those mentioning the case of Sarbel in 2007 the fact was that Tamta and Dantis were bad not that he was good...That's why he won...Plus,who really believes it was a good entry or even a bit memorable?His song was not a big hit in Greece during the esc 2007 period."Comme ci,Comme ca" was a greater hit in every radio station in Greece...I like most of the jury members chosen...I'm not sure what Giannopoulos or Stamatellou will go for...Anyway may the trully best win and not the cheesiest...

Yeah, but every day since it was launched, Alkaios was leading. Only 1 day second skin lead the poll. Of course fans interacted, but that happens with every poll.
and for the oikotimes poll i don't think it's a clear as 3 days ago second skin was leading the poll with approximately one hundred votes difference from alkaios and then all of a sudden in an hour or so (after the post of the article about the "dissapointing" performance on radio arvila) alkaios was ahead with a hundred and something votes...!! that's quite strange !

Exactly. Dantis was the Greek poll favorite, and Tamta the International poll favorite. Sarbel won because he had the best performance of the night, and also the teen vote as you said.
We will know soon enough. The show starts in an hour and a half.
I agree about the live performance.. the same thing happened with sarbel..he was the outsider but then he had the best performance according to jurors and televoting..! it's one and a half our left to know....!!!!

No. Anyone who follows the mad polls year round know that they can be manipulated, and they always are. Ive been following them year round for the last 4 years at least and know. Like I remember this one poll asking about who would you like to see come back. Everyday there would be a new lead with a big percentage. LOL. And for your information, as I said in my previous post, all the songs are good in their own way. That is why I am waiting for the live performances to judge. But my current favorites from the mp3s only were the ones I listed. But a live performance and stage act can make or break it.
