Cyprus: Ivi Adamou will sing La la love in Baku
La la love was the hot favourite to win. The song is penned by Alex Papaconstantinou, Bjorn Djupstrom, Alexandra Zakka, Viktor Svensson. Christos Grigoriades hosted the show broadcasted live from Studio 3 of RIK TV Studios in Nicosia. The absolute majority of our readers agreed with the result. Infact almost 70% (69.8%) voted for La la love in our poll.
The dance tune is expected to be presented well, at full scale in the Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Baku. In tonight's national final Ivi did not sing any of the songs live and she appeared in the same short silver dress for all the acts. Last year's Cypriot representative, Christos Mylordos also appeared in the show. He performed his Eurovision entry San Aggelos S'agapisa.
Already back on August 5th 2011, Ivi was selected by the Cypriot broadcaster. Adamou, born in Famagusta in 1993, shot to fame after participating in the Greek version of the X Factor show where she placed eighth.

Shitty song fit for a tool like her. Well done, Cyprus! 0 points!
Cyprus have high expectation this year, Lena satelite won, the quality of songs in previous 2 years were not so high, I put this song at same level with satelite so cyprus can expect high position, bets of luck La La Love Lala lalalalalala lalalalalalala love Lala lalalalalala lalalalalala love Love the way you fill me up with life Baby we can break the speed of light Nothing to fear when you are near Just gimme more Reaching for the sky, I’m aiming high Close my eyes and then it’s almost like you fly Up in the air, let’s take it there Never let go Oh oh oh, I feel the energy between you and me, baby it’s so right Oh oh oh, I feel the energy just taking over me, over me How I’ve been waiting for this Lala lalalalalala lalalalalalala love Oh I’ve been waiting for this Lala lalalalalala lalalalalalala love From Paris to LA over the night All around the world just you and I Nothing to fear, when you are near We’re on a roll And we do it again, no stop no end Out of control Oh oh oh, I feel the energy between you and me, baby it’s so right Oh oh oh, I feel the energy just taking over me, over me How I’ve been waiting for this Lala lalalalalala lalalalalalala love Oh I’ve been waiting for this Lala lalalalalala lalalalalalala love Nothing to fear… when you are near… Oh oh oh, I feel the energy between you and me, baby it’s so right How I’ve been waiting for this Lala lalalalalala lalalalalalala love Lala lalalalalala lalalalalalala love Oh, I’ve been waiting for this Lala lalalalalala lalalalalalala love http://lyricstranslate.com

" What gross me out is that people's hypocracy here... Nobody blamed Germany for example... or other western countries " @ mer maid congatulations my friend WHELL SAID !!!!!!!!!!! Nobody blame Switzerland for theyr Estonian girl band back in 2005 ! Nobody blame Lena who win the contest with foreighner composer... and imagine...a country of 80.000.000 send a foreighner composer ! I dont remember back in 2008 anybody to blame Norway for Spanish composer, or Bosnia back in 2006 for Serbian composer ! That list have no end so i will not say more ! Also many of western fans bushing: Greece, Turkey, Cyprus, Armenia and Azerbaijan ( especially this countries ) when they send a song without topic music elements and/or languages, but they never judge theyr countries who since 1999 NEVER send a song with theyr country music elements or/and language. For example Personal since 1981 ( when Cyprus start to participate ) i never saw Sweden to send a song with Swede topic music elements..and Sweden among Iceland was the first countries who run to sing in english back in 1999 ;)
Avat-when there was no Armenia or any other new comers in Eurovision ,Cyprus had been working with Cypriot composers so it is indeed stupid if people blame them for collabarating with Swedes.Azerbaijan, participated 4 times and only 2 of their songs were pure Swedish songs and many other countries were doing the same thing at that time ....What gross me out is that people's hypocracy here... Nobody blamed Germany for example... or other western countries..anyways..I'm not saying collabarating is a MUST but it is totally OK to do it.This is my view and you don't have to agree but do not surprise if your country does it one day ;)
"Like I always say it is really stupid to talk about nationalities of composers or singers. The aim of this song contest is to bring nations together and there is nothing wrong with collboration!!" - Since there isn't any reglament about the "aim", some fans may think that one of the aims of this contest is also to demonstrate own music and not imported semi-products!
I knew this one would be chosen :)La la la love is an ok song.It is too early to say how well she will do before hearing the other songs in her semi but she needs to sound as good as the studio version for a good result.I'm optimist that Cyprus can make to the finals this year. ps:Like I always say it is really stupid to talk about nationalities of composers or singers. The aim of this song contest is to bring nations together and there is nothing wrong with collboration!!!Good Luck :)
*When it's ringing
People should listen to the troll allert when it's winging...:P
the worst song :(
Selena Gomez would love this! Goodluck Cyprus! Goodluck!!! And wish good live presentation to Ivi!
I like Ivi, but this song will not go anywhere, ... it´s obvious again.
I think nobody can make any decision about this song until we finally will hear her sing live. The ESC is all about whether a person can sing live or not? So far Ivi Adamou has refused to sing live. We will only know in May in rehearsals when she is finally forced to sign live as to whether she can sing or not, and as to where the song will end up. She has only herself to blame for this!
Zingo, I'm really amazed by your "sense of humour"; it must feel great making people laugh with what you are saying. Anyway, from what I know of Helena Paparizou was born a greek, by greek parents, so how this could make her anything else than a greek herself. Some people need some serious help...
cyprus now... swedish song.. greece finally got a good result in 2001 when we gave you the swedish singer Helena Paparizou... and then we gave you finally a victory in 2005...also with helena from gothenburg:) everyone in her hometown of gothenburg was so proud of our girl:) i dont know why greek people are so ashamed of taking help from sweden....:) even your major star sakis used swedish dancers in his 2008 entry..:)
@TROJAN i m not say that Cyprus for sure will pass to the final but some people here react with jelusy (deeply they like ivi' s song and i m sure they shake theyr asses with La la love bit ha ha ha ) . Beacuse if someone dont like a song is not going to react so badly ! Is going to react with smooth way. :)
I think this could do very, very well.
I like this song :) Lina don't worry zingo was bashing on Turkey too and saying all the time Hadise won't be even in the final and manga will fail but what happened at the end? one of them came 4th other 2nd ;)
La la love wasn't my favourite but it's a cute song and many fans seem to like it, plus Ivi is very good looking and energetic so I think Cyprus can do very well this year. It only needs a strong choreography and some extra attention to Ivi's vocals and it won't just reach the final, it can get a top 10 too.
