Watch now: First semifinal in Hungary
The show
Hungary will be selecting their 2012 Eurovision entry through a televised format consisting of two semifinals and a final, called A Dal (The Song). Ten acts will compete in each semifinal, to be held on January 28th and February 4th. Four finalists will be proceed from each semifinal - three acts will qualify thanks to jury voting and another one through televoting. The Hungarian representative in Baku will be decided on February 11th by a 50/50 mix of jury deliberation and televoting.

oh yeah coz its the juries top 3 then the televote top 1 so compact disco, caramel & gabor (all 3 absolutely awful) topped the juries scoreboard at the end, then Gabi won the televote :) well lets see how the jury fucks with it when it comes to the final night, because they can very easily purposely not give any points to Gabi so one of there shitty favourites can go on and leave Hungary in the semi finals, well Hungary, its been a rediculous night, lets hope there are some imprvoments for next week, you need them!
Very fair result.Compact Disco was ok although its not my favorite.Heincz was great,TOTH GABI WAS SUPERB,and Caramel well ok but less is more.
Compact Disco - Sound of our hearts Gábor Heincz - Learning to let go Caramel - Vízió and Gabi as i remember correctly. For me, she's like she won the whole thing, although i like Compact Disco more.
okay did i just miss a huge chunk or something? because they made it out as if Gabi had just won the entire thing? i am so confused, where are the other qualifiers??
Fair results but I still believe Hungary does not have much potential this year. I am fully disappointed by Compact Disco's live performance.

the televoting is not working...
hungary you are pathetic, the recap was even messed with, annmari, gabi & attiliantamaras recap (to name a few) was distinctly shorter than the recaps shown for compact disco & gabor, seriously hungary should be ashamed of this obvious sham of a vote rigging!
Oh god, after the recap... Annamari was HORRIBLE! I've never heard such awful singing in an NF before :O
Hopefully it will be improved in the final and with the televote added Caramel will win :D Gabi wasn't good enough. Compact Disco is the one to beat IMO, but their song is too anonymous for Eurovision. It would do like Lovebugs and drift by unnoticed. Caramel has better chance in ESC because it has melody and goes somewhere, but he needs to hold back a little!
i think i liked the last two best. Haven't heared the studio versions, first time i listen to them live so it may mean something..
I can't see what they liked..At least Compact Disco are first as deserved :D !
on the other hand, I liked Caramel in the studio but the live is a disappointment.
Oh god, I hate it when singers who CAN sing have to exaggerate like Caramel is doing now. LESS IS MORE! Hold back and don't exaggerate so much with all the ooooo's and aaaaah's, damn it! :S I am disappointed with his performance, but the song is still the best.
Caramel's song is just dull and forgettable imo..

toth gabi completely destroyed the stage with that performance. AMAZING.
So Gabi will be fourth with the juries tonight if they like Caramel (they have to) which means she will get the televote = 4 qualifiers.
so 4,5,3,3 to annmari sly jury voting but made up for it with Gabi 9,9,8,8 they have actually voted right for atleast one song tonight, i am shocked, this jury does have a little bit of decency, but how they give her only 8s and 9s and give some of the other crap 9s and 10s is pathetic!!

It is not surprising that some juries giving top score to shitty songs just because they look down on Eurovision and think "this fits in in Eurovision because it is cheesy and mentions "Europe" or "peace"." Gabi has a poor song and she gave a mediocre performance. It was too shouty and not appealing. Hopefully they will not give top score to her because she doesn't deserve it.
i am hoping they do the right thing here and give her 8s, 9s and 10s, she is clearly the best tonight! but i would predict 3s, 4s and 5s from this pathetic rabble of a jury
Amazing performance by Gabi Toth ! I am not a big fan of the song but she was really great tonight..! liked the shadow trick as well.. Has to go through !
okay, Gabi Toth has a great voice and an amazing song, so the juries crapped allover Annmari, lets see what they do to Gabi, seriously if they dont give her 8's 9's and 10's it is pathetic!!! this and annmari are made for eurovision, perfect esc in baku :D
