LT United CD single

Lithuanians still winning

LT United: Going for gold

LT United's entry We Are The Winners is only in its third week of release, and has already hit the gold mark in native Lithuania. With sales of over 3000 in the country, the single will be ready to take the Platinum trophy fairly soon.

The sixth placing gained by the group in Athens in May has certainly helped sales to fly along, with the single also having been released in Finland, The Netherlands as well as Internet sites across the globe. In an international pop twist, last week at a concert in Belgium, Robbie Williams performed a few lines from the track to an enthusiastic international audience. All this makes We are the winners the only Lithuanian entry to have mustered so much attention beyond the confines of its own country.

LT United are currently recording a second track, Fashion Show, which is likely to be available for preview sometime next week.

Fun, but I am seriously surpriced that people actually buy this. Silvia at least had some idea in her jokes, though she went a bit too far. This is just dumb. My coffeemaker boils better songs.

Karolina worst of FRYROM??? Worse than 2000 or 2005?
How dare they!

Lithuania deserved this good position after all their failures (some of them very undeserved, most notably 1994 and 1999). And the song was good fun.

The worst Dutch entry is easily 2000 "No goodbyes", by Linda Wagenmakers.
Worst ESC song ever is: Gina G "Just a little bit" 1996 (United Kingdom).

Mario Marino, you probably had a lot of work to make that list. You know what? Somebody has to be in the bottom on the list. Lithuanians already tasted that feeling 4 times. What were they expecting in ESC 2006? Their frustration led them to choose "LT United". And that makes you prick at all means.

NONE of the countries are responsible for their ESC choice, because they can be frustrated as much as you are. If you think that song is crap, you must try to analyse its advantages and understand it. But if you can't, you're still a prick. :P

Gracia???? worst entry from Germany?
there are a lot of crap entries from Germany (...1997; 1998; 2000; 2001; 2002; 2003, just examples)

Bis part of that list is based on results, and that's ridiculous.

At least Sestre did badly in 2002!
We Are The Winners is the sort of song that would only appeal to the ESC haters.

What the problem with this song?
This was suposed to be fun, and it was, it reached its goal.

(This is a masterpiece compared to some stuff we have already seen: After Dark -almost won the melodifestivalen 2004- and Sestre in ESC 2002, that's waht i call crap)

This was not a good song but they gave an excelent and very original performance and for that they deserve my congratulations. Another sarcastic number that seems to please a large portion of ESC viewers.

Its supposed to be a fun song but I think it is embarrassingly idiotic. I am over the injustice of this doing better than superior stuff from Belgium, Germany, Norway, Greece, Estonia, FYROM etc but didn`t that guy with the megaphone look stupid and what the hell did people find so amusing about a baldie dancing like a complete spastic?

At least we got a good laugh at the night of the final! (laughing WITH them, not at them...) Go Lithuania!

Mark Tius [34301]

It's simply a "different" song. Number 6 at the final prooves that people liked it. So, what's the point of these hysterical reactions against it from those who didn't?

Liam Clark [24749]
Sun 25 Jun 2006 07:15:22

People are taking the song too seriously, It's supposed to be a bit of fun. My god people, grow up! I didn't like the Bosnian song, but that doesn't mean i have to bash it every time i get the chance? There are many different kinds of song. You're unlikely to like all of them, just get over it and wait until next year.

A great stage performance with great mail voices for a non-song!!!I was sure it would be in the final, but the 6th position was too high!!!

LT United's entry was shocking, but not as shocking as the fact that it got through the semis while so many better songs (Kate Ryan, Ich Troje, Treble, ...), were knocked out. I'm embarrassed that my nation voted so highly for them, it was a patronising, protest-vote gathering peice of trash (I don't think it should even be called a "song" ;)!
