Full concert schedule announced

Zdob si Zdub in Vienna concert

Zdob si zdub, the first Moldovan entrants in the Eurovision Song Contest back in 2005, will be participating in the first concert of the ambitious Linz Europe Tour 2007-2009, a production of Linz 2009 European Capital of Culture headed by Austrian musician Hubert von Goisern. The project kicks off tomorrow, Friday 22 June in Vienna, Austria. The band will also be embarking on an extensive summer tour schedule that will cover Romania, Ukraine and Russia.

The Linz Europe Tour 2007-2009, a project under the patronage of Mr Jose Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission, will sail along the river Danube on a floating concert stage and it will make over 20 stops along the longest European river this summer. At each stop local artists will perform in concerts that promise to attempt to help Europeans "rediscover each other once more via music, the language we all speak, the language that knows no barriers"

Zdob si Zdub will be performing tomorrow in Vienna (at the fourth tower of Donauinselfest) together with  Wilii Resetarits and Hohtraxlecker Sprungschanznmusi. They will also be performing at the Galati, Ismajil and Tulcea concerts on July 24, 26 and August 5 respectively. On July 23 at Braila, Romania will be represented by Loredana Groza, the jury favourite who finished second after Luminita in the 2005 Romanian national final for the Eurovision Song Contest.
